Adamson, 70th Virgil Myers and Helen Gardner Gard-ner Adamson celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on August 15. They were honored for their wonderful achievement by their son Ted, his wife Sherilyn, four grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Virgil was born. Jury 19, 1914 in Highland to David H. and Jessie Myers Adamson, one of 10 children. chil-dren. He graduated from American Ameri-can Fork High School, and then spent two years in the CCC Camp in the Duchesne area. On his return to American Fork, he married Helen Gardner on Aug. 15, 1936 in Prove On Feb. 12, 1959 their marriage was solemnized solem-nized in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Virg worked for Utah Poultry in American Fork and Salt Lake City for 35 years and also worked for American Fork City for 10 years before retiring. Helen was born, May 23, 1916, in LoveU, Wyoming to Angus Cannon and Mary Whipple Gardner, Gard-ner, one of six children. She attended at-tended school in LoveU, then the family moved to Lehi, where she graduated from high school She served as secretary under four superintendents at the Utah State Training School and retired in 1982. Both have held numerous church positions. Since retiring they have traveled to Hawaii the Caribbean, Scotland and England. Virgil has always enjoyed farming farm-ing and raising animals. Mom and Dad sold their farm to the LDS Church and the American Ameri-can Fork West Stale Center was built on that property. They now take great pride in raising a large garden and beautiful flowers at their home at 130 North 350 West in American Fork.
