He's fouled out the last two games Admittedly, he's not even the best athlete on the team. - t. But does Lyndon Plothow worry about those things? Not one bit. And that's why Orem coach Mike Conner can never say enough good things about his 6-foot-3 senior center. "He's a wonderful kid," Conner said. "He hasn't been blessed with great athletic ability, but he's very intelligent, he works really hard and he's extremely coachable is what I love about him." Lyndon has been in the Orem program since junior high, playing on the sophomore and JV teams for the past two years, but this is his first year on varsity. He's even made his way into the starter's role, filling the middle for the undersized Tigers. "It's been awesome," Lyndon said of becoming becom-ing a starter. "I was really nervous before the season started, but I just realized that it's just a game of basketball." Conner says, while Lyndon isn't he most athletic player, he worked hard during the off season to get better and gives it his all on the court. He hustles, thinks smart and plays with plenty of heart all things that have endeared him to his coach. "This is why I coach high school basketball is kids like him " Conner said. "He's, done everything that's asked of him and he's getting an opportunity to be successful on the basketball basket-ball floor." Starting in fifth grade, Lyndon played Jr. Jazz basketball, and then was involved in the junior high program.
