WEEKS, JR. Times Correspondent The sign posted in the Orem Central Park said: "$500 Reward! Please help us find 'Buster.' He is a rose-breasted rose-breasted cockatoo missing from the North Palisade Drive area. He scares very easily, so if you find him, please call 225-6255, so we can come and get him." Pictured on the sing was the bird with wings raised, looking much like a chicken, except for the beautiful bright red coloring on its breast and wing. Hoping that 'Buster' had not already become the chief ingredient in a pot of someone's "Chicken" soup somewhere, a telephone call was made to the number shown on the sign. No one answered the phone. Another phone call the next day to the bird owner did get a response, as Brenda Powell, 1322 E. 550 N., happily reported Buster had been returned to his home just the night before- weaker but, seemingly, unscathed by his disconcerting disconcert-ing disappearance. Mrs. Powell who with her husband Kyle and five children, chil-dren, simply loves animals, explained her daughter had taken Buster out of his cage on Sept. 15 to warm him outside in the autumn sun, when the bird escaped her hold and flew up into a tree.
