It all started approximately 1920 with farmers on the east side of Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove who had about 400 acres of strawberries. In 1922 the first celebration for the Rodeo Ro-deo was in June and it included the Black Foot Indians with their wild horses being part of the entertainment, en-tertainment, and in 1947 the first Rodeo queen was crowned. Go to the library to read all about how it all started and you'll see why it is still a big success in Utah County!!! Grove and Lindon.
