Show i Barbershop quartets in concert Bamberger Express Barbershop Barber-shop Quartet knows how to blend their voices for an award wining sound and will present their talents in the Provo Tabernacle Taber-nacle on October 14, for a free performance at 7:00 p.m. The Bamberger Express Barbershop Quartet has sung from coast to coast, and in 1995-96 were the Rocky Mountain District Senior Champions. As the district champions they earned the right to compete in Jacksonville, Florida at the Mid Winter Convention Con-vention of the Society for the preservation and encouragement encourage-ment of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America (SPEBSQSA). Their goals are to continue winning the Rocky Mountain District competition, and travel to competitions in Florida and other locations. As an update, Bamberger Express recently won the title of Senior Champions for the Rocky Mountain Moun-tain District of the International Barbershop Society. As champions, cham-pions, they will represent the Rocky Mountain District at the January 1998 International Seniors Competition in Tampa, Florida. Bamberger Express does a lot of singing here in the west Along the western side of the Rockies they have sung from Pocatello to St George, including includ-ing the big First Night New Year's Eve program in Salt Lake City, at conventions in Park City, National Secretaries Day at UVSC, the Springville Art Ball and many other local performances. per-formances. One of their special performances was for the 1997 New Year's Day Cotton Bowl Champions, the BYU Football Team. Recently they performed at the Utah County Fair and as the pre-show to The Music Man at the Sundance Summer Theatre 1997. Bamberger Express sings with the Saltaires Show Chorus from Salt Lake City and this summer were featured at a two-day two-day show at the Scera Shell. The Chorus just returned from the annual convention of the Barbershop Bar-bershop Society where the Saltaires Sal-taires were ranked tenth place in the world at the International competition in Indianapolis, Indiana. The doors to the performance open at 6:30 p.m. and the concert is free to the public. On October 28, the musical group Proclaim will share "Christian Music" in concert in the Provo Tabernacle.
