Show Orem-Geneva Times Wednesday September 28, 1988 Page 4 i I - - 'I i' John Lott John Deloyd Lott, 74, of Orem, died Thursday, Sept. 22, 1988 at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, following a heart attack. t He was born March 24, 1914 in Joseph, to John Taylor and Bertha Jane Wells Lott. He married Margie Beck, June 30, 1939 in the Manti LDS Temple. He lived in McGili; Nev. while working work-ing for Kennecott Copper. He later mov- ed to Orem where he was employed as purchasing agent for Pittsburgh-DesMoines Pittsburgh-DesMoines Steel in Provo, until his retirement. He also operated a small farm in Orem. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had served as bishop for five years in McGill, ftev. He served on the high council in Orem and later as the high priest group leader. He enjoyed sports of all kinds, especially baseball and golf. He is survived by his wife, Orem; two sons: Alexander Deloyd Lott and Robert Terry Lott, both of Orem; 13 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; two sisters and one brother Mary Ogden and Peter Lamaun Lott, both of California; Califor-nia; Naomi Taylor, Richfield. He was preceded in death by a son, John Howard. Funeral was held Monday in the Orem Northridge Stake Center. Burial was in the Orem City Cemetery. Delmar Weese Delmar C. Weese, 76, died Wednesday, Wednes-day, Sept. 21, 1988 at Utah Valley Regiona Medical Center in Provo. He was born Jan. 11, 1912 in Idaho, a son of Henry Hazekiah and Hallie Belknap Belk-nap Weese. He married Cleola M. Zinn, June 28, 1935 in Ogden. The marriage was later solemnized in the Arizona LDS Temple. He was the owneroperator of a hardward supply business. He served as a bishop's counselor in the Fullerton, Calif. 3rd Ward. He was active in civic affairs, and belonged to Rotary and Toastmasters. He coached his son and grandsons in little league baseball. He is survived by his wife, Orem; two daughters and one son: Sharon Meadows, California; Sandy Pusey, Orem; Richard Michael Weese, St. George; 19 grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; five brothers: Earl and Harry Weese, both Washington; Jake Weese, California; Artenis Weese, Oregon; Carl Weese, Ogden. Funeral was held Monday in Provo. She was born July 17, 1908, in Ogden to David Byron and Florence Latitia Hayes Huff. She married Leland Kimball Prestwich on July 20, 1927 in Provo, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Tem-ple. He died January 13, 1984. She was raised in Lake Shore and attended at-tended schools in Lake Shore and Spanish Fork. After her marriage, she moved to Orem, where she resided the rest of her life. She was a homemaker and helped her husband operate their fruit farm. She loved doing handiwork including crocheting, quilting and ceramics, which she shared with all her children, grandchildren, grand-children, and friends She has a special love for flowers and gardening. She was a member of the Orem Senior Citizens. She was a member of the LDS Church, serving in many capacities. She served as Primary President, Presi-dent, counselor in the Relief Society and Mutual She served as a visiting teacher for many years. Along with her husband she served on the Sharon Stake Senior Citizens board committee for 15 years. She was called to work in the Provo Temple until her health failed. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. DeLynn (Melva) Heaps, San Gabriel, Gab-riel, Calif.; Mrs. LaVell (I la) Heaps, Orem; Mrs. Ted (Lois) Miller, Provo; Mrs. David (Carol) Glazier, Springville;' Mrs. Karl (Bonnie) Wright, Salem; 27 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Byron Leland Prestwich. Services were held Tuesday in the Orem Sharon Stake Center. Burial was in the Orem City Cemetery. Georganna Huff Georganna Adams Huff, 63, of Spanish Fork, died Monday, Sept. 19, 1988 at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center of cancer. She is survived by her husband, Spanish Fork; two daughters and one son, Mrs. Ande (Larraine) Bradford, Spanish Fork; Mrs. Schuyler (JoAnne) Shimanek, Orem; Brian R. Huff, Brigham City. Katherine Olson Katherine Louise Dahl Olson, 78, of Willard, died Monday, Sept. 19, 1988 in a Brigham City nursing home of causes incident to age. She was born Jan. 9, 1936 in Orem, a daughter of Lewis N. and Evelyn Nielsen Davis. She married Arvid A. Kelander in 1960 in Henderson, Nev. The marriage was later solemnized in " the Manti LDS Temple. She was educated in Orem schools, graduating from Lincoln High School. She was a homemaker and had her own fabric shop. She taught many sewing classes in Adult Education, Relief Society Socie-ty and her home, She did catering and cake decorating. She was an active member of the LDS Church and served as a teacher in many of the auxiliaries. Survivors include her husband, three sons and three daughters: Mark, David, Ryan, Susan, Jeneal, Mrs. Mark (Janet) Harding, all of Orem; four grandsons; grand-sons; one brother and four sisters: Don ' Lewis Davis, Tooele; Mrs. Don (Ida) Berger, Sacramento, Calif.; Mrs. Douglas (Lois) Carlson, Salem; Mrs. Theron (Ilene) Nay, Mesa, Ariz.; Mrs. Roger (Helen) Dunsdon, St. Joseph, Mich. I f"JJ A Edith Morley Edith Othine Christiansen Morley, 86, of Orem, died Saturday, Sept. 17, 1988 at the home of her daughter in Martinez, Calif. She was born March 7, 1902 in Frederikshavn, Denmark to Carl and Sophie Christiansen. She married Orlando Orlan-do Isaac Morley Sept. 2, 1924 in San Francisco. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple of the LDS Church. He died March 26, 1975. She was baptized into the LDS Church at the age of 12 and immigrated to America at age 17. She served as a Relief Society president on two occasions occa-sions and as a Sunday School and Relief Society teacher and directed choirs and music throughout her life. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Theral (LaVerle) Nielsen, Martinez, Calif.; Mrs. Lowell (Ruth) Thompson, Orem; 14 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren.
