Show fr3 I L JASON RICHARD HENRIE Jason Henrie earns Eagle, invited to World Jamboree Jason Richard Henrie, son of Richard and Bonnie Henrie of Orem, Utah, received his Eagle Scout rank recently and has been selected as one of the 2,500 young men who will represent the Boy Scouts of America at the XVI World Jamboree in Australia at the end of the year. Active in Scouting since age 8, Jason is now 15 and a member of Troop 191 sponsored by the Orem Par 21st Ward. For his Eagle project he painted and cleaned around more than fifty fire hydrants in northwest Orem. Jason will be among 13,000 youth from more than 100 countries who will attend the World Jamboree held December through January 10, 1988, at Cataract Scout Park, 40 miles southwest of Sydney, Australia. Jason and other Scouts from Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming, will leave December 18 to tour New Zealand and Australia. Jason will spend Christmas with an Australian family. An honor student at Mountain View High School, Jason is spending the summer in Panguitch working with his grandfather, Lowell V. Henrie, Sr., to help finance his jam' boreetrip. The last world jamboree was held near Calgary, Canada in 1983. The first was in England in 1920. Only one, in 1967, has been held in the United States, then 12,000 youth from 105 countries campted at Farragut State Park in northern Idaho. Weaver, son of Max D. and Ruth Weaver of Orem, has completed the schooling to earn a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Utah. He majored n mental health with a minor in administration. EdWynn is currently employed as a probation officer in the Third District Juvenile Court in Provo. He completed a Master of Social Science degree in 1984, and earned his Master of Social Work degree in an evening school program while working full-time. full-time. They are the parents of three children. i -V- J Orem-Geneva Times- -Wednesday July 8, 1987PageH THOMAS WILLIAM CHYNOWETH Chynoweth completes BS Thomas William Chynoweth, of Orem, has received a Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy from the University of Utah. Thomas is the son of Thomas and Joan Chynoweth of Orem. He graduated from Orem High School, and Utah Valley Community College, and attended Brigham Young University Univer-sity in pre-physical therapy before completing his degree at the U of U. He is married to the former Kathy Mason, and they have one child. The Chynoweths plan to move to Las Vegas, Nevada, where he will practice physical therapy at the Orthopedic Or-thopedic Clinic of Kelly Hawkins. While at the University of Utah, Thomas was a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi; the Golden Key National Honor Society. p yri David Moss receives Eagle Scout award David Moss of Orem received his Eagle Scout award at a Court of Honor held in the Orem 54th Ward of the IDS Church on Sunday, June 14, 1987. David is 14 years old and will be in the 9th grade at Canyon View Junior High School next year. In Scouting, he has served as Senior Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, and completed leadership training at Timberline Camp. He also attended the Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. He has attended several merit badge pow wows and earned enough merit badges to receive his Bronze Palm. For Bis Eagle Project, David organized and conducted a clean-up campaign in Orem following the 1986 general elections. David has been very active in sports and played on his school football foot-ball and tennis teams last year. While in ekinTary -chool, he enjoyed wrestling and won the Utah Valley championship and placed 3rd in the state. He has also played several years on competition soccer teams and played Little League baseball. In addition, he enjoys skiing, swimming and basketball. David is an accomplished artist and musician. He won his school PTA Reflections contest in art each year and in the 6th grade was the Utah State winner and represented the state in the national competition. David lives at 848 North 750 East in Orem and is the son of Jim and LaVelle Moss. He is the third son in the family and the third to receive his Eagle. His three younger brothers are all Scouts and on schedule to receive their own Eagle awards. Craig Hatch earns degree Craig Hatch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Hatch of Orem received a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Utah. Hatch majored ma-jored in physical education, and minored in history. He plans to teach at the secondary school level. Craig and his wife, Barbara Barnes Hatch, formerly of Spanish Fork, are the parents of four children.
