Show Orem Men Named To Geneva Posts . Orem-Geneva Times -Thursday, August 4, 1983 DR. STEVEN C. PINEGAR Pinegar Opens Dental Practice Steven C. Pinegar announces the opening of his practice in association with his father, Dr. Ed. J. Pinegar. Steven is a graduate of Provo High School and Utah State University, where he was active on the basketball teams. After completing his pre-dental requirements at Utah State University he went on to attend the University of Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, where he received his D.D.S. While in Dental School he received training in endodontics (root canals), functional orthodontics (straightening teeth), and periodontal therapy (gum disease). He achieved recognition as one of the top clinical technicians. He also received an award for the most outstanding General Dentist at a recent awards banquet given by the school. He is married to the former Lisa Graham of Provo. They have two children Breanna and Ed. Meter Break Releases Gas A broken gas meter caused natural gas to spew out in front of the Saddle House at 861 N. Industrial Park Dr., Orem, Monday morning. According to Saddle House owner, Jeff Dunn, an International Travelall parked in front of his business rolled into the meter breaking break-ing it. Apparently children who were in the vehicle released the gear. Mountain Fuel was called to repair the break. The incident occurred Monday morning shortly before 11 : 30 a.m. " Three management appointments appoint-ments in the Coke and Coal Chemicals Division at U.S. Steel's Geneva Plant were announced by H. E. Lung, division divi-sion superintendent. Clyde R. Hicken of Spanish Fork was named general foreman of nitrogen production; Scott L. Mammoth Mam-moth of Orem was appointed general foreman of by-products and Benzol; and Craig R. Powers of Orem was promoted to foreman of coal handling. Mr. Memmott started his U. S. Steel career in 1973 as a laborer in Geneva's Coke and Coal Chemicals Division. He held various positions until 1979 when he was promoted to assistant turn foreman of Coke Ovens. Later that same year, he became turn foreman of the ovens. In 1981, he was promoted to foreman of patching and heating, the position he held at the time of this recent appointment. After holding various positions, he was appointed a management associate for the department in 1982. He held this position posi-tion at the time of his recent management manage-ment appointment. He earned a B.S. degree in chemistry from Westminster College at Salt Lake City. Three management appointments appoint-ments in the Open Hearth and Foundry Foun-dry Division at U.S. Steel's Geneva Plant were announced by W. R. Dean, division superintendent. John H. Wing, Jr., of Orem was named general foreman of anxiliary services; Frank J. Evans of Provo was promoted to turn foreman of auxiliaries, aux-iliaries, transportation and services; and Keith M. Mailloux of Orem was appointed turn foreman of the stockyard. Mr. Wing began his steelmaking career in 1973 at the Geneva Plant as a metallurgist in the Quality Assurance Department. One year later, he was promoted to chemical engineer and, in 1975, he was made turn foreman of the chemical lab. Prior to his recent appointment, he has been serving as a product metallurgist of the Foundry since 1976. He earned a B.S. degree in zoology and chemistry from Brigham Young University. Mr. Mailloux joined the Geneva Plant in 1982 as a management associate assigned to the Quality Assurance Department. That same year he transferred to the Open Hearth and Foundry Division and served as a management associate there until his recent appointment. He attended New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology at Socorro where he earned a B.S. degree in metallurgical engineering. Business Burglarized Jim Egdeston, 1190 N. Industrial Park Drive, Orem, reported to Orem police that his business was broken into in-to Friday morning, July 29. In vestigating officer Rex Skinner said approximately $700 worth of tools were taken.
