Show Utah Girl National 4-11 Forestry Scholarship . Karen Harmcr, 755 East 100 South, Pleasant 6rove, received a $1,000 scholarship during the 60th National 4-H Congress in Chicago Nov. 29-Dec. 3. MILLER Mrs. Louise Stubbs Miller 58, of 859 N. 400 East, Orem, died November 22, 1981 of Natural Causes at the Utah Valley hospital. She was born July 11, 1923 in Provo, to Alfred D. and Delia D. Carter Stubbs. ' Mrs. Miller has been married and was a wjdow. She was educated in the Provo City Schools and she lived most of her life,sin the Provo-Orem area. She was employed at Muir Roberts Co. of Provo for five years. '..Mrs. Miller was a member of the LDS Church and attended the 62nd ward. She was also a member of the Veterans 1-ady Auxiliary. Iter interest included playing the organ and siligjng. Survivors include two sons and three daughters: Kim Miller and Melvin M. Miller of Orem, Mrs. Art (Carolyn) Loyola of Arlington Texas, Mrs. Deter (Sherri) Ericksen of Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Myron (Jolene) Rasmussen of South Jordon, Utah. Harmer, is a high school sophomore and plans to become a botany teacher. She is an eight-year 4-H'er. 4-H'er. The Utah County girl was hired as an instructional in-structional aide for a summer educational camp "because of my 4-H experience in forestry. I felt honored because I know that I was one of the youngest aides ever hired." She taught the fifth graders how to use a special chart to identify trees: "The real reward comes as you're riding back to camp after a day FLORENCE KELSON Florence Adelia Cary Nelson, 80, of 289 N. 2500 E., Orem, died Friday, Nov. 20, 1981 in Roy from injuries received in an auto accident. She was born Feb. 26, 1901 in Manhattan, Kan., to Lorenzo D. and Daisy Elizabeth Pitman Cary. She married Stanley Christian Nelson, March 12, 1919 in Manhattan, and the marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He died Aug. 15, 1975. She was Relief Society president for many years and taught Relief Society, Sunday school anu Primary classes. She came to Utah in 1991 and homesteaded in Rochester and Emery. Her survivors include two sons and two daughters, Harold A. Nelson of Price; Stanley Edwin "Ted" Nelson of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Alex (Elizabeth) Morris of Hyrum; Mrs. Richard (Cary) Danis of Hunt-svill; Hunt-svill; 31 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Ethel Ralphs of Eagle, Idaho. Tax Practitioner Institute Held at Westminster College Salt Lake City - The fifth annual Westminster College tax practitioner's institute will be held on Dec. 3-4 in Malouf Hall on campus. Both all-day sessions will begin at 8:00 a.m., reports program chairman Alan Rogers, CPA. The fee for the two-day two-day program is $75. i e c a use the program will focus on the provisions of the new tax law signed by President Reagan. The 4-H'er has obtained ob-tained about 400 tree seedlings from the U.S. Forest Service to plant at the school. She led other 4-H'ers in planting sod, wild flowers and more seedlings in the new park. LDS Hospital Amicus Club Announces New Officers Salt Lake City - Phil Rasmussen has been named to a one-year term ns president of the LDS Hospital Dcseret Foundation Found-ation Amicus Club, announces an-nounces Richard A. Christonson, foundation president.- Mr. Rasmussen assumed the lop position l the oo-member organization at the group's annual meeting. Scera Park PTA Discusses Computers The topic of the P.T.A. meeting held at Scera Park Elementary School on the evening of Nov. 18th was computers, their future and their use in the schools. There were many questions during a question and answer period at the end and many comments from parents enthused that the students were receiving an introduction to computers com-puters when we are living to the computer age that we are now in.
