Show Squaw Peak District Holds Fall Comporee Burreston Ponds southwest of Mona, Utah, provided the atmosphere and setting, and over 500 scouts and scouters gathered as participants in a most successful annual fall Camporee of Squaw Peak District, ' September 25 and 26th. Theme for the Camporee was Improvised Cooking is Fun." Troops adjusted cooking pro- 'fidjires to the Camporee Theme, foregoing the use of conventional con-ventional cooking utensils and using instead improvised utensils made by troop members. Items included all types of hand made wooden spoons, forks, knives, etc., with aluminum foil pans, barbecue sticks, pits, rocks and other less commonly used but effective methods for preparing a meal being used. Cooking was great and scouts and leaders enjoyed nourhishing and delicious meals. The Friday evening special program was most enjoyable, beginning be-ginning with the impressive "Flaming Arrow firelighting by members of the Order of the Arrow. Mr. Merrill Christopher-son, Christopher-son, scouter, pilot, travel counselor and friend of boys held the attention of those assembled as-sembled with his wit, humor, stories, advice and counsel. Applicants for this program will be considered based on scores obtained on either the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) of the College Entrance Examination Examina-tion Board (CEEB), Princeton, New Jersey or the AmericanCol-lege AmericanCol-lege Test (ACT) of the American Amer-ican CoUege Testing Program, Iowa City, Iowa, in lieu of the Navy College Aptitude Test (NCAT) previously utilized. Applicants for the 1971 NROTC College Scholarship Program must apply for and take either test specified above at their own expense prior to Dec. 31. 1970; arrange with the appropriate testing agency for the submission submis-sion of their scores to the NROTC College Scholarship Program; and apply for the NROTC College Col-lege Scholarship Program between be-tween April 1 and Dec. 1, 1970, in accordance with the 1971 Bulletin Bul-letin of Information.
