A similar cash prize was also awarded Fay An drews for her sculpture. Musical selections were une I by a trio, Mrs. Richard Hawkins, Mrs. Donald Noel and Mrs. Don Evans, with Mrs. Robert Gam-mell Gam-mell as accompanist. Mrs. Evan Baugh directed the presentation of the flag by Gary Baugh and Val Kendall. The meeting was conducted by Mrs. Ted Simmons, president. Mrs. Clyde E. Weeks Jr. arranged the program. Hostesses for the occasion were the club officers. They served a tray luncheon from a serving table covered with a handmade crocheted cloth and centered with an arrangement of yellow Japanese Jap-anese iris and pastel pink stocks. Each of the members and her mother or special guest was giv en a miniature corsage of spring flowers. TETEo AT RECEPTION Standing before a background o spring flowers, candelahras and ferns, Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn E. Francis received congratulations from their many friends at a reception in the Vineyard Ward hall. Preceding the reception was the marriage ceremony April 20 at the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mrs. Francis Is the former Verna Olsen, daughter of Mrs. Caroline Olsen and the late Robert J. Olsen. Her husband is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Ron-ald C. Francis of Lake Shore. Attending the bride at the reception were Mrs. Leila Daybell, matron of honor, and bridesmaids, Deon Olsen, Dixie Francis and Joan Francis. Best man duties were officiated of-ficiated by Larry Francis with Richard Daybell and Robert Olsen as ushers. After a honeymoon to Kirtland, N.M., and Mesa Verde, Colo., the new duo are residing in Orem. Young Couple Dates Wedding for May 17 Clifford Rav FereMson. son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo F. Ferguson, will wed Glenda Lou Laubon in rites planned for May 17 at the Orem Second Ward Chapel with Bishop Lloyd Louder officiating. Announcement of the betrothal was made by the bride's mother, Mrs. Faye M. Roe of Provo. Miss Laubon was a member of the Pen Club and Phi Gamma PsI at Provo High School where she graduated. Palmer, Merrill was prominent in forensics at LHS, president of the boys chapter of Sapere Aude and editor of the school serving as secretary of the Sharon Stake YMMIA.
