The bulk of this money has been raised through special building programs. Approximately 1,000 such church building programs are conducted each year under the guidance of professional fund-raising counsel. Total religious assets in the United States are estimated in excess of $11,000,000,000. l)tUppcrRottTl- THE UPPfK ROOM, NASHVILLE TENNESSEE It was and always is "Yes" with Him. (11 Corinthians 1:19. Weymouth.) As I read over and over the Weymouth translation of this verse of scripture, it began a quiet revolution in my attitude toward other people. This trans lation startlingly revealed to me how often it was "No" with me. In other words, my approach to other people-was critical instead of being constructive. So then I read again the rec ord of the conversations that Jesus had. I was amazed to find that though He severely criticiz es Lawnmowers Sharpened ON THE IDEAL SHARPENER Give us a trial Your mower will run like new. MAX'S REPAIR SHOP 671 N. State Orem Phone AC 5-0439 or AC 5-1720 1 ed a class, such as the Pharisees, there was an entire absence of .condemnation in all He said to 'individuals. When the accusers of the woman taken in adultery melted away, He looked up and said to her, "Hath no man con-' con-' demned thee? Neither do I con demn thee; go, and sin no more." The more I read the New Testament, Testa-ment, the more I realized that this was typical of His approach to individual persons. It becomes apparent that if we would follow the Master, then we can no longer approach people in a negative and critical way, but only in the positive and con structive way that He did. PRAYER Take from us, O Master, the desire to condemn other folk. Give to us eyes to see the good in everyone we meet. Help us to learn more of the depth of the prayer Thou hast taught us: "Our Faher who art in heaven . . . . .Amen." THOUGHT FOR THE DAY What is my attitude in my ap proach to others?
