Show YOUR dtwrrfr PAGE Hillcrest School Slates Registration For Kindergarten Kiddies Registration for Kindergarten students who will attend the Hill-crest Hill-crest School will be held Monday May 9th at 3 p.m. This Includes all children who are 5 years of age or will turn 5 on or before October 31, 1955. Children from the Edgemont area who atttend the Hillcrest school may register at Hillcrest or at Page School. Registration at the Page School is being held on Friday, May 6th at 1:30 p.m. All parents of children concerned con-cerned are urged to attend and register their child. Special in-.structions in-.structions will be given at this time. Cub Scouts Hold Tree Planting Ceremony At Geneva A tree planting ceremony was conducted by the Cub Scouts of Pack 3030 recently at the Geneva US Ward, according to Lee Bishop, Bish-op, cub scoutmaster. The tree which is part of the Crest View 2nd Ward Primary Leaders Hold Meeting Officers and teachers of the Crest View 2nd Primary met at the home of Ruth Rasmussen on Monday evening for their Ward Preparation meeting. They discussed dis-cussed their successful Primary Conference which was held Sunday Sun-day evening in the Westmore school. Mrs. Delma Aiken, Mrs, Myrle Stubbs and Mrs. Thora Goulding, of the Stake Primary Board were in attendance at the conference. Those who attended the preparation prepar-ation meeting were Madge Davies, Clarice Haws, Llla Rappleye, Pat Hewitt, Lois Harward, Lucille Lowe, Donna Greaves, Phillis Monk, Villa Glines, Shirley Walsh, Leah Hlgbee, Mildred McKenna and the hostess, Ruth Rasmussen. - Seat V ! Lelith is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray E. Hanks. She is a graduate grad-uate of the Lincoln High School and has been employed In Orem for the past while. Speakers who have been slated for the testimonial are Roy W. Humphreys, Bishop Lawrence Palmer and Mr. and Mrs. Hanks. Lelith will also respond. All ward members, friends and relatives are cordially invited to attend. PRICE FAMILY ENROUTE TO CALIFORNIA Mr. and Mrs. Frank Price of Orem are now enroute to Cali fornia for a 10 day vacation trip. They plan to spend Sunday in rnoenix, Arizona, visiting with Mr. Price's six brothers and three sisters. They will also visit friends. Accompanying them on this trip are their son and his wife, Charles and Jolene Price of Morgan. They will visit Mrs. Price's sister and husband, Mr. Uncle Roscoe To Emcee Orem 1st Ward Talent Show Plans are well underway for the Talent Show to be held May 11 in the Orem 1st Ward. Uncle Roscoe, of TV fame, will act as master of ceremonies at this affair af-fair which will begin at 7:30 p.m. Exceptional talent will perform during the evening for the enjoyment en-joyment of those who attend. The talent show is being sponsored spon-sored by the MIA organization and tickets are 50c for adults and 25c for children. Readings from the King James Version of the Bible and -correlative passages from "Science and Health with Key to the Scrip-tures's Scrip-tures's by Mary Baker Eddy will comprise the Lesson-Sermon entitled en-titled "Adam and Fallen Man." Among the passages to be read from Science and Health Is the following: "The divine nature was best expressed in Christ Jesus, who threw upon mortals the truer tru-er reflection of God and lifted their lives higher than their poor thought-models would allow, thoughts which presented man as fallen, sick, sinning, and dying" (259:6-11). Firemen's Auxiliary Holds Gay Social Members of the newly organized organiz-ed Orem Firemen's Auxiliary met recently at the home of Mrs. Lel-and Lel-and McKenna for a delightful social. During the evening the ladies enjoyed playing Bingo with "white elephant" wizen which each lady had brought being giv en to the winners. Final Rites Held For I John Ivor Lamph Funeral services were held on Thursday in the Cleveland i,DS ward cnapel for John Ivor Lamph 58, Orem, who died in an Ogden hospital Sunday of a heart ailment. ail-ment. Mr. Lamph was born on April 15, 1897, in Castle Gate, son of William T. and Jane Bennett Lamph. He married Christie Madison Mad-ison on June 16, 1917 in Cleveland, Cleve-land, Emery County. He worked as an autobody repairman and was a member of the LDS church. Survivors include his widow, Orem; a daughter and four sons, Clynt I. Lamph, Orem; Lorin J. Lamph, Garden Grove, Cal.; Mrs. John (Jean) VanNess, Trenton, Cal.; Elroy M. Lamph, Norwalk, Cal.; Luris N. Lamph, American Fork; three brothers and one sister; sis-ter; and 13 grandchildren. Burial was in the Cleveland Cemetery. Eugene Bingham, accompanied by Mrs. Joe Aauirre of Provo. A solo dance number will be presented pre-sented by Miss Sheri Bowen.
