Croft of Orem have announced the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Myrleen and Max L. Healy. The couple will choose a date in April for their marriage, to be solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Myrleen is now attending her senior year at Lincoln High School where she is active in music and serves as vice president of the FHA Club. She is a graduate of the Sharon LDS Seminary. M:x, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Healy of Orem, la a graduate of Lincoln High and the Sharon Seminary. He was active in sports and music while in high school. . At the present time be is attending the Brigham Young University. Jaycee Wives to Hold Annual Social Final arrangements have been Made for the annual Sweetheart Dinner Dance which is sponsored toy the Orem Jaycee Wives for their husbands. The affair will be keld this Friday at 8 p.m. at Park's Cafe. Tickets are being sold by Eugene Eu-gene Bingham and Bernell Fowler Fow-ler and are $5 a couple. Mrs. Fawn Bingham and Mrs. Bernell Fowler are in charge of arrangements arrange-ments for the semi-formal affair. The program will include toasts to be given by Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hoover and a musical number will also be featured. 1 .,, . AH Jaycee s, Jaycee Wives and their guests are cordially invited lo attend this annual event. - Waltz Contest Slated For February 19th Prize waltzers, here's your chance to show the 1955 public that waltzing is still in style. A Prize Waltz contest is to be held Saturday, February 19th at 'the Eldred Recreation Center in Pro-vo. Any waltzer may enter the contest which will take place at 10:30 p.m. Judges of the contest will be Mel Crawford of Orem, Mrs. Hannah Baum of Provo and Al Thorpe of Springville. Music will be furnished by Ralph Migliaccio and his orchestra, orches-tra, who play at the Recreation center every Saturday night Feel Younger . . DRINK MILK! NINA W ATKINS TO WED Senator and Mrs. Arthur' V. Watkins have announced the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their youngest child Nina Eileen to William Martin Palmer of Bethesda, Maryland. Miss Watkins attended Orem schools before moving with her parents to Washington, D.C. in 1947. After study ing art at the Corcoran School of Art at George Washington University Uni-versity in Washington, she completed requirements for a bachelor degree in art at the Brtgham Young University, graduating in 1954. At George Washington she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority and at the BYU was affiliated with the O. S. Trovata social unit and participated in the 1953 tour of Europe. She is an active member of the Utah colony in Washington and is affiliated with the Congressional Club and the Senate Daughters Club. Mr. Palmer is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William I. Palmer, formerly of Cedar City. He completed a pre-medical course at the University of Utah in 1952 and ii" now a third-year student at the University of Maryland Medical School at Baltimore, Md. The annual Jaycee sponsored Valentine Dance held recently at the new Union Building in Orem was termed very successful by the committee in charge. Vaunt Williams was chairman of the affair af-fair and his committee members were Bill Burr, Delbert Mills, Vernon Partridge and Wayne Gammon. The gala affair will start at 2 p.m., according to Mrs. Curtis Gordon, club president. Members of the program committee com-mittee are busy making plans for a delightful program and all members mem-bers are urged to attend for an enjoyable afternoon. La Mero Members Hold Feb. Meeting Members of the La Mero Club met Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. Glen A. Phillips, club president, for their regular monthly meeting and program. Y. M. Offret, owner of the Wild-wood Wild-wood resort in Provo Canyon, spoke to the group. He showed them some examples of his work in sand painting, wood and the lapidary. Following the enjoyable program pro-gram refreshments were ' served by the hostess. Old Folks Party Scheduled Feb. 26 Old Foks of the Sharon, East Sharon and Orem Stakes will enjoy en-joy a moving picture beginning at 10 aJn. on Saturday, February 28 in the Scera Theatre. Following the movies the Old Folks will bg taken to their own ward for a dinner and program being planned by the ward Old Folks committees. Timp Archers Hold Dance, Meeting Members of the Timpanogos Archery Club held a dinner dance Monday evening, according to LaRie Warren. The group en joyed the affair which wa3 arranged ar-ranged by Esther Barney and Bette Miller. A business meeting was held by the club Thursday evening in the Orem City Hall.
