Parking is now available at Snow Park Lodge. Full-day lift tickets costs $65 for adults and $35 for children. GorgozaPark Gorqoza Park is located off the Rasmussen frontage road by 1-80. One-ride tickets tick-ets cost $6 for tubers ages 7 and older, $3 for kids 3-6. Two-hour tickets cost $1 0 for 3-6 and $1 7 for 7 and older. Corgoza is now offering expanded activi-. ties including lift-served tubing, Mini Z snowmobile rides and the new lift-served lift-served jib park. The park is open weekdays from noon to 8 p.m. and on weekends week-ends from 1 0 a.m. to 8 p.m. For more info., call 658-2648. White Pine Touring Center's cross-country track is located at the Park City Municipal Golf Course. Twenty kilometers of track, including the farm, are now open for skiing. The 5K and 3K tracks are also open. The touring center encour- , ages early morning skiers to let the groomers roll the track before heading out. Be sure to check in with the White Pine office to receive a parking pass. The crosscountry cross-country track is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily through the season. For more information infor-mation on season passes and individual day passes, call the center at 615-5858. Mirror Lake Highway, S.R. 150, is only open through mile marker 15, Soapstone Basin. Grooming on the Beaver Creek trail will take place every Thursday. A warming hut, near the Mirror Lake Guard Station is up and running Friday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dogs are allowed on odd-numbered days. The Forest Service would like to remind users that recreation passes are still needed and fines will be imposed on those vehicles who fail to display a pass. For those using the backcoun-try, backcoun-try, the Forest Service would like to urge recreationists to use the avalanche forecast number before venturing outdoors, 658-551 2. Also, recreationists are encouraged to contact the avalanche canter if an avalanche is triggered to report the safety status of the involved party, at 1 -800-662-41 40. For up-to-the-minute information call the Kamas Ranger District at 435-783-4338. Cross-country skiers, snowshoers, snowmobilers and backcountry skiers are urged this winter to contact the Utah Avalanche Forecast Center, 658-551 2, before venturing into the backcountry. As of Tuesday, March 1 2, the Avalanche Center reported a couple cou-ple inches of new snow. With warming temperatures, the snowpack condition is varied. var-ied. Soft, dense snow limited powder - is becoming harder to find below 9,000 feet. Avalanche danger is considered moderate on slopes steeper than 35 degrees, however, snow below 8,500 feet is moist and crusted, creating ideal avalanche conditions. con-ditions. Be sure to watch for drifting on northeast and southeast facing slopes as well . as cross-loading snow patterns.
