Park Record Recreation Report Wasatch Cache National Forest All campgrounds in both the Weber Canyon and along Mirror Lake Hwy. S R 150. are now closed for the season. Most ot the lakes in the area are now freezing and covered with ice. however, how-ever, the Provo River is Still running strong Snow can be found on almost all district trails at this time. The Utah Department ot Transportation has closed S R. 150, Mirror Lake, tor the winter season. The gate has been closed above Soapstone at mile post 14 6. All trespassers will be ticketed Starting Dec. 9 100 Christmas fee permits will be on sate beginning at 9 a m The trees are on a first come first serve basis and must be cut by Dec 10. One hundred Christmas tree permits will be on sale Dec 9 and will be issued on a tirst-come. first-serve basis Trees must be cut by Dec. 10 Firewood permits in the Kamas Ranger District are sold out. Snowbird will open the Mid-Gad Mid-Gad and Wilbere chairlifts on Friday. Nov. 10 at 9 a.m. Tickets will be $25 with no half-das. Two children 12 and under ski or ride the chairs free with each paying adult. The Tram is scheduled to open Saturday. Nov. 18. "Not only is an early opening with great powder snow heaven for the locals, but it helps spiead the word to our out-of-town guests who are still making their winter vacation plans," said Snowbird President Bob Bonar. "After skiing the entire mountain, moun-tain, I can say the skiing and riding rid-ing is phenomenal for early November."
