El Meyer, Bud Shakclford, Frank Webb. Ken Hosmer and James Godwin Scott. Each of these talented artists has influenced her philosophy philoso-phy and style. Rasmussen has belonged to the Hawaii Watercolor Society and the Northwest Watercolor Society. Her work has been accepted in many local and regional shows. As well as taking time to teach watercolor painting, she is Utah County Chairman of the Utah Watercolor Society. Her most recent awards include Award of Merit - 1994 Spring Salon, Springvillc. Best of Show 1994 Summer Show-Utah Show-Utah Watercolor Society. Her works are represented in the Kimball Art Center Park City and The. Watercolor Gallery Laguna Beach. Wendy Bowers has been hired as the festival's director of marketing and public relations. Her husband, Gary Armagnac, is now the festival's director of education, as well as an artist-in-residence at both the Festival and Southern Utah University. Bowers is excited to be in Cedar City and at the festival. She ;omes here from Los Angeles, but was raised on a rural ranch near Sacramento, KUED airs Four-time Grammy-winner Tony 'Bennett breaks the generation genera-tion gap and delivers a fresh new interpretation pf over a dozen classic songs in his acoustic performance per-formance airing on KUED, Channel 7 Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 9 p.m. in Tony Bennett - -Unplugged. Giarrizzo references the 17th century Italian painter Caravaggio in many of his works'. Caravaggio was known in his time for painting religions and mythological scenes, using contemporary dress and motifs. Many at the time, thought this to be totfbold and bordering on sacrilege.
