Show BINGHAM CENTRAL P-TA Bingham Central School P-TA held its annual Founder's Day program at the school Wednesday Wednes-day night according to Mrs. Boyd Anderson, publicity chairman. chair-man. Mrs. Verio Kendrick, president, pre-sident, presided. Past presidents were special guests. Those present at the meeting were Mrs. Tory Tobia-son, Tobia-son, Mrs. J. O. Rasmussen, Mrs. Lola Johanson, Mrs. Elva Turner, Turn-er, Mrs. Harley English, Mrs. Ralph Evans, Mrs. Verl Peterson, Mrs. Hugo Bianchi and Mrs. Rita Ugarte. Each were presented a small potted plant. Guest speaker was Supt. Reed ! H. Beckstead of Jordan School District. His talk was entitled "Meeting the Needs of Youth In An Educational Program". The fourth, fifth and sixth grade band students under direction of Lowell Low-ell P. Hicks played several musical mu-sical numbers. Achievement a-wards a-wards for last year's work were presented -to Mrs. Martin Prig-more Prig-more and Ira E. Moss. Making the presentations was Mrs. Boyd J. Nerdin, district representative. Selected to serve on the nominating nomin-ating committee were Mrs. Marda Nielsen, Mrs. Beulah Stewart and Mrs. Betty Smith. The founder's foun-der's day cake which was topped with a schoolhouse was won by Mrs. LaRue N. Burgess, a teacher teach-er at the school. After the meeting and program cake, coffee and punch were served ser-ved in the school cafeteria. A very good attendance was present. |
