From Time to Time Moss, for several years past employed as engineer at the Ontario No. 2 hoisting works, shot and fatally wounded Alex Langton, a well-known well-known miner who has been a resident resi-dent of the camp for over three years. Moss and Langton happened to meet in the saloon and a conversation conversa-tion commenced relative to some trouble Langton and Thomas Keating had a couple of years ago, when Moss took tht part of his friend, Kearns, and against Langton. It is alleged that Langton, Park City Cardiology and The Preventive Medicine Center announce the opening of their Cardiac Rehabilitation program. The program is specifically designed for people with heart disease or who are at high risk for heart disease. Under the Supervision of Board Certified Cardioligists, we follow the guidelines set forth by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. Research has shown that a properly designed program can lead to delay of progression of coronary artery disease and in some cases, even reversal of severe blood vessel disease. We incorporate this new scientific information in our program. Please call 649-5565 or 649-5552 for further information or an appointment. Stop by to visit our facility. Ski Area ' who was a private detective for an eastern agency was charged with writing a letter to the City Marshall of O'Neil, Nebraska, inquiring if an indictment had ever been found there against Kearns for committing an alleged felony, and Kearns learning learn-ing of this inquiry, assaulted Langton last June. Langton denied writing the letter, but Moss expressed express-ed himself unreservedly to Langton his opinion of him for doing as alleged alleg-ed against his friend, Langton. When the two parties to the tragedy met in the saloon last Wednesday night, Langton, asked Moss for the letter and the latter referred him to Kearns. Then Laughton called Moss a lickspittle for Kearns, whereupon he called Langton a liar. Langton replied by calling Moss a g d s b , or words to that effect, at the same time striking Moss a blow on the nose with his fist, drawing blood. Moss staggered and on recovering himself drew his pistol and quickly fired at Langton. The bullet, a 41-calibre Colts', struck ,Langton's body on the left side about two inches in-ches and a half from th&uixej and ranged downward slightly through the bowels. The bullet, in its course, cut the entrails in a fearful manner. 50 Years Ago The miners strike it rich The ore is again opening up along the Park Galena fissure on the western operation in the Mayflower tunnel of the New Park Mining company com-pany after having pinched down, W.H.H. Significant progress pro-gress has been made over the past year on the Deer Valley Resort project, pro-ject, and developers from all parts of the country continue to purchase land in Deer Valley, according to Merle Huseth, President of Royal Street Land Company. "We've done a tremendous amount of work this year, and we're pleased with the progress," Mr. Huseth told The Record this week. Last week, the Park City Planning Commission reviewed proposed plans for two large day centers, 48,000 square foot "Snow Park," and 25,000 square foot "Silver Lake." Over the past several months, the Commission has seen numerous projects pro-jects for the Resort itself, and also housing developments spread throughout the massive Deer Valley area. May every happiness be yours at this Holiday Season and throughout the new year. 20353 Local photographer wins prestigious award BIMTIHIIIMY! 20 21 22 Marv Evans 23 Bob Capson Rebecca Borash Judy Putman Charming Leltch Melissa Fayville Courtland Chelmo Jami Zimmerman Lucy Hunter Cathy Samson Cameron Chin 24 Frank Bell Jeff Johnson Greg Dollhausen 25 Ehlias Louis Randlyn Wilde Scott Smith Dave Park Bob Bailey Ryan Birrenkott Beverly Gray Courtney Calvin Jana Baumann Bill Skold 26 Taylor Kellam Carol Paulis , Toni Qoilney Karen Brown James Smith Winning photo by Thomas Mangelsen Thomas Mangelsen (Images of Nature Gallery, Park City and Jackson, Wyoming) was awarded a runner-up prize in the British Gas Wildlife Photographer of the Year 1990 Competition.
