At the Rusty Nail Saloon at the Park City Ski Area, Jubal, a country rock and roll band will be playing on Friday, March 25 and Saturday, Satur-day, March 26. Jubal is out of Salt Lake City and played in the Park City area earlier in the season. You can get a look at Looker at the Black Pearl now through Saturday, March 26. Looker is a rock and roll band, as are most of the Pearl's acts. On Sunday and Monday, Connie and the Rhythm Method will berockin'androllin'. The Cowboy Bar will host a variety of acts this next week, including the Bong Show on Thursday, March 24. The Bong Show (like television's Gong Show) will offer a first prize of $100 to the one who goes onto the stage and makes the biggest ass of himself. Anything goes, according to the Cowboy: Cow-boy: skits, air bands, etc. On Friday, March 25, Shalako, a country rock band out of Salt Lake, will wind up its gig at the Cowboy. Saturday, Joe Cannon will appear. Cannon is a musician-comedian, musician-comedian, who does a lot of satire and is hot, according to the Cowboy. John Bayley, the reggae solo guitarist will be back for his third appearance ap-pearance at the Cowboy on Sunday, March 27. Monday and Tuesday the exotic dancers will be stripping strip-ping to the tunes of Joe E. Boots and the Heels. The Roger Eddy Group will be rocking on Wednesday, March 30. At the Alamo, Joe. E. Boots and the Heels will be playing their foot-stomping rock and soul through Saturday, Satur-day, March 26. On Sunday, March 27, the Silver Creek String Band, a local blue-grass blue-grass band will take over. The Silver Creek String Band has been at the Alamo before for impromptu jamming, jam-ming, but this time they are bringing all their equipment and getting paid! Mountain John will be at the Alamo on Monday, March 28 and Tuesday, March 29. Mountain John weaves stories, anecdotes, poems, sing-a-longs, and ballads into a unique and humorous show. According to the Alamo, this will be your last chance to catch Mountain John in Park City. Claudia, a solo country artist with a sultry voice, will be at Janeaux's Thursday Thurs-day through Saturday. Claudia used to play with Alias, a popular country band from the Park City area. And on a lesser musical note, there have been rumors ru-mors that Dr. Bop has retreated to his room where he sits and fondles his guitar. We hope that the doctor is not experiencing what Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys did, when he suffered a musical-mental breakdown. Chris Skaggs and Allen Titensor teamed up to win a free sandwich sand-wich from the Main Street Deli. Skaggs and Titensor knew that the Motor City Madman was Ted Nugent; that the skunk in Bambi was Flower; and that the dog in our vet photo was named Tara. School seeks volunteers for art festival Parley's Park Elementary School is preparing for its annual art festival. On April 13, classes will begin for all the first through fourth grade students. Local parents, teachers, and artists are teaching the classes. Some of the classes being offered are: yoga, soap carving, kite making, mime masks, patchwork pillows, stained glass, square dancing, macrame, burlap dolls, and creative dramatics. The artists have supplied a sample of their work, and on March 21 and 22 the students choose which class they wanted to be in.
