The collection will include a number of nudes and nyumphs. It will also feature landscapes of the Great Salt Lake. "Harmony is what I seek," says Zimbeaux. "Sometimes this harmony, this wild beauty can still be found on some shores of the Great Salt Lake... the islands and clouds are reflected as on a great mirror. At these times, there is a feeling of magic... almost overpowering the senses." Zimbeaux was born in Paris, France and came to Utah in 1926. He studied at the University of Utah and the Art Barn. He credits his father, Utah artist Frank Zimbeaux, for having the greatest influence on his painting. "I spent much time as a young boy in his studio and probably owe more to him as a painter than to any other source." The artist has exhibited in many individual and group shows throughout the West, including the traveling Watercolor Exhibit sponsored spon-sored by the Federation of Rocky Mountain States, Inc. He has won the Utah State Fair Best of Show award, St. Mark's Art Festival First Prize and a Salt Palace Exhibition Honor Award.
