The American Cancer Can-cer Society provides services for .cancer patients such as transportation for treatment, prosthesis, counseling and other services. The contact person in Park City is Annette Sneed, 649-6950. Cancer fund drive The American Cancer Society is holding its annual fund drive. Volunteers will be contacting businesses March 22 through March 31 and residences April 1 through April 15. Anyone who is not contacted and would like to contribute can call Julie Christians at 649-8487. Wart removal clinic The Summit County Health Department will conduct a wart removal clinic Monday, April 5 at 2 p.m. Dr. Cal Osbump of the national Escrescence Institute will be on hand to explain the origins of unnatural warts and growths and aid wart victims in setting up a program for home treatment. Fee for the clinic is $5, which covers the cost of razor blades. Parent-teacher conferences The Carl Winters Middle School would like to advise parents that parent-teacher conferences will be held at the school on Thursday, April 1 from 6 to 9 p.m. and Friday, April 2 from 1 to 4 p.m. Students will be dismissed each day at 1 p.m. to be bussed home. Report cards will be issued to parents who participate in conferences. Please contact the school for your appointment. Ladies' Luncheon The 28th annual Park City Ladies' Luncheon will be held May 1, 1982 at 1 p.m. at the Grub Steak Restaurant in Prospector Square. The luncheon is for anybody now living in Park City or the surrounding area, or anybody who has ever lived in the Park City area. Ladies over 80 years of age are honored guests. These include Blanche Fletcher, Lil Bircum-shaw, Bircum-shaw, Chloe Monson, Arleta Davis, Hannah Stanley, Marie Camille McDonough, Maude Snyder and Etna Neil. If you know of others, please let us know. Park Avenue survival course As part of the ongoing Community Education program, a special class is being offered on how to avoid the pitfalls, chuck holes and craters of Park Avenue. The six-week course, taught by Sandy Bottom, will emphasize erratic turning, quick braking and effective fist-shaking and name-calling techniques. Prerequisite: Wheel Alignment 101. Parking during plowing During the snow season, there will be no parking on the east side of each street throughout Park City, and no on-street on-street parking at all in the Park Meadows area to facilitate snow plowing. Vehicles parked on that side of the street will be ticketed at this time of the year. No March well-child clinic Social Security visits to end The Summit County Health Department will not hold a well-child clinic in March. The clinics will resume in April and notice of the date and time will be announced. Dealing with divorce, family separation The Parent Education Resource Center (PERC) and The Prevention Center are sponsoring a group for parents and their children who are undergoing changes in their family which are a result of divorce or separation of family members. mem-bers. The group is underway and is meeting on Thursday nights at the Parley's Park Elementary School from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The remaining nights scheduled are March 28, March 25, and April 1. Family planning clinics The Park City Community Clinic, a non-profit family planning plan-ning program, will be holding these clinics during the month of April : : April 7 at 9 a.m. April 14 at lp.m. April 21 at 1 p.m. April 29 at 9 a.m. Services offered include physical exams, PAP tests, counseling coun-seling and education, VD screening, pregnancy testing, and contraceptive supplies. Costs for these services are minimal or on a sliding fee scale. No one will be denied use of the clinic . and all services are confidential. For information or an appointment, please call 649-5989. Childbirth preparation classes The next series of childbirth preparation classes given by the Summit County Health Department, will begin Tuesday May 4, at the Park City Community Clinic. The classes will be held each Tuesday for seven weeks from 7 to 9 p.m. The cost is $10.00 per couple. For information or to register call the Summit County Health Department at 649-9072. Heart Fund Fashion Show The annual Park City Heart Fund Fashion show will be held Friday, beginning at 7 p.m. in the Carl Winters Middle School auditorium. Donations to the Heart Fund will be accepted ac-cepted at the door. Area students will model a variety of clothing, from Easter dresses to sports wear. The show will also feature the "Lollipop Singers" from Snyderville and a local dance group choreographed by Debbie Batt. The Park City Preschool's 4th annual Easter Egg Hunt will be Saturday, April 10 at Prospector Square from noon to 2 p.m. All children and their families are welcome. Chapel Fellowship The Chapel Fellowship meeting is held every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. at Prospector Square. Everyone is welcome. Sewer District meeting The Snyderville Basin Sewer Improvement District will be holding its meetings on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month beginning at 7 p.m. in the district offices. Tax instructions Now you can save money by doing your tax forms yourself with the help of federal income tax instructions on cassette tapes, available at the Park City Library. The cassette tapes are provided by the IRS and can be used in the library using their recorders, or you can bring your own recorder. They contain step-by-step guidelines for the preparation of IRS Forms 1040A and 1040, as well as instructions instruc-tions for completing Schedules A and B, the two schedules most commonly used with the 1040. Taxpayers report itemized deductions and income from interest and dividends on these schedules.
