It is a fully-equipped facility offering complete savings and loan services to the public, and has parking and a drive-in facility. According Ac-cording to the Association's President, Dean S. Berrett, the Summit Savings Building fits nicely into Park City's new business district. Within a three-block radius of the intersection of State Highways 224 and 248, a Park City resident has access ac-cess to a wide variety of products and services. These include banking services, groceries, lodging, restaurants, medical facilities, clothing, recreation and literally dozens of other frequently- used products and services-all services-all within a five-minute walk. The 1980s will be a '"decade of growth" for Summit County, with Park City being the focal point and the geographical, cultural and socio-economical center of the county. Hopefully, this growth will be well-planned and orderly. The expected population boom will develop a tremendous need for housing, and it is a fundamental fun-damental objective of Summit Sum-mit Savings to provide housing financing to facilitate this growth. Summit Savings now has been open for one year, and its performance during that' year has been gratifying, said Berrett. Its assets have tripled in size to nearly $1.50 million, it has provided Summit County residents with over $1 million of mort gage financing, and has paid more than $40,000 in interest in-terest to its savers. The management and the Board of Directors expressed their thanks to the residents of Park City and Summit County Coun-ty for their support. Summit Savings' grand opening week ended on Jan. 23 with a drawing for its grand opening prizes.
