The report was prepared utilizing research information collected by the Transportation Department combined with input from Park City Transportation Advisory Group. Community review is welcomed and responses as to which transportation needs should be dealt with at this time and which alternative or combination needs seem most logical. A copy of the preliminary draft is available at the Chamber office and at City Hall. Day -Care Center Set For Miner's Hosp. With luck and state approval, appro-val, the fall will bring a new child care center to Park City, at the Miner's Hospital complex. The idea for the center came about when Allison Keyes, manager of the Miner's Hospital, tried to find competent care for her own child. "Many young mothers in Park City want to work but can't because the cost of child care is prohibitive. By the time she pays for a babysitter, in some cases, it isn't worthwhile for a mother to work. And a babysitter will quit when another job comes along," Keyes said, noting that she had been through several child care arrangements. The center will specialize in children ages 1-5. "Most day care centers don't take children under two, but there is a real need in the Park City area for 1-2 year old care," she said. The center has applied for a special state license allowing for younger children. "When I showed them the number of very young children in town, they agreed there is a need." She is almost confident their request will be granted. The center will provide warm, competent car, allowing allow-ing a mother to be at ease knowing her child is well attended. "We will accomodate 12-15 kids and the charges will be HMI PROFESSIONAL PICTURE FRAMING at reasonable prices.
