Hardman, Steven Tueller. Back, Louis Hardy, Frank Sumner, Andrew Schmidt and Laren Harley. Don Hardman named as bishop By KALYN SECRETAN Don E. Hardman was sustained as bishop of the Third Ward in the Timpanogos Stake recently with Ronald F. Gonzales as first counselor counse-lor and Steven W. Tueller as second counselor. Also sustained were J. Frank Sumner as executive secretary, Louis Lou-is Hardy as ward clerk, Andrew Mark Schmidt as financial clerk and Laren Harley as membership clerk. Released were Bishop Joel Ellington and counselor, Dale Wallace. Steven Tueller also served as counselor with Bishop Ellington. Bishop Hardman grew up and attended school in Lehi. He has been living in Pleasant Grove for 42 years. He married Pat Morris of American Fork and they are the parents of four sons and one daughter. daugh-ter. The Bishop recently retired after working for Geneva Steel for 42 years and five and a half years in a custodial position for the LDS Church. Heenjoys horse back riding, golfing and all kinds of sports. He has served in various ward positions and recently as a high council member of the Timpanogos Stake. Ronald Gonzales was born in California: His parents were in avis ation so he was basically raised on an airport. He worked in automotive automo-tive mechanics for eight years and then completed Bachelors, Masters and Administrative credentials. He taught at Cypress College and BYU. The family moved to Payson in 1977, and another move brought them to Pleasant Grove in 1991. He attended Purdue University and received his PhD. He has published six books and numerous articles. He and his wife have been married mar-ried 30 years and are the parents of six children and seven grandchildren. grandchil-dren. They enjoy traveling and projects of all types. Steven Tueller is currently employed em-ployed at BYU as a strategic planner. plan-ner. He and his wife Laurie Pieper are the parents of five children. The family moved to Pleasant Grove two years ago and enjoy woodworking, gardeningcomputers and athletics. Steve grew up in Boise, Idaho, and completed BA, MA and MBA degrees at BYU. He served a mission mis-sion in Osaka Japan and has served as a clerk, in the Eldere's Quorem and as an instructor. Louis Hardy was born and raised in Vernal. Laren Harley is from American Fork. He is attending the University Universi-ty of Utah and served an LDS mis-sion mis-sion in St. Louis, Missouri. He and his wife Lauri have one child, y Andrew Schmidt was born and raised in Rochester, NY. He moved to Springville when he was 16years old. He works for Novell. He and his wife Cheri are the parents of two children.
