Iverson Iver-son announce the marriage of their daughter Pamelia, to Roy Leon Tidwell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy E. Tidwell of Escon-dido, Escon-dido, California. Doubfe-M Club Holds Twa: Meetings During October The Double-M Club has held two meetings in October. On Oct. 14, club members journey to Sandy where they were the guests of Mrs. Kaye Carlson for a delicious turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Afterwards, the hostess instructed the members mem-bers in making things from plastic doilies. On October 28 the club held its annual Halloween party . in American Fork at the home of Sherrie Ashton. A prize was give for tne best costume, which turned out to be the new member, Janet Wells. A traditional Halloween supper sup-per of chili and hot chocolate was served, after which the guests played games and spent the remainder of the evening in visiting. Those present for the two meetings were: Kaye Carlson, Sherie Ashton, Jeanne Evans, Janet Harris, Ginnie Chipman, Cleneyl Gerber, Carolyn Peacock, Pea-cock, Sharlene Trinnama, Sandra San-dra Harris, Linda Walker, and Janet Wells. Modemettes Hold Halloween Party Last Wednesday Members of the Modemettes Club held their Halloween party par-ty at the home of Grace Corna-hy Corna-hy with Verda Fenton as co-hostess. co-hostess. The party wa held last Wednesday evening. . The ladies came in costumes, and games were played with prizes given. Present with those mentioned to enjoy the delicious luncheon and the evening's activities, were Lorraine Boyer, Mary Gray, Virginia Chipman and Edna Bott. HOSPITAL HEWS Among babies born at American Amer-ican Fork Hospital last week, were the following. Oct. 28, a girl to Norman E. and Carolyn Bevan Wright. Oct. 28, a girl to Kenneth K. and Judith Austin Carlson. Oct. 29, a girl to Orin and Naomi Lopez Adams. Other local patients were Dorothy Bair, Diane Hiatt, Ruben Ru-ben L. . Tomlinson, Jay Lyle Monson, Dennis N. Adamson, Jill Unthank, Troy Douglas Thayne, Phyllis Slade, DeNae Jenkins, Marilyn Maxfield, Craig Lee Peck, Harvey R. Wadley, Ned B. Martinson, Lyman Ly-man Ted Young, and Donna L. Woffinden. The young couple were married mar-ried in the Salt Lake Temple today, Thursday, Nov. 4, and they will be honored at a wedding wed-ding reception, Friday, Nov. 5, 8 to 10 p.m. in the Manila Ward Church. All friends and relatives rela-tives are cordially invited to attend. Attendants to the bride will be Mrs. Jane Huntsman, as maid of honor, Mrs. Charmane Riggs, Caroline Iverson, Nancy Richards and Barbara Liston. Dick Draper will act as best man. Miss Iverson is a 1964 graduate grad-uate of the Pleasant Grove High school, and the four year seminary program. She has attended at-tended UTTI and the BYU. Mr. Tidwell is a 1963 graduate grad-uate of Escondido High, has attended, Palomar Jr. College, and also graduated from the Seminary program while in high school. Christian Women Install New Chairman in Provo Mrs. George Molascon of American Am-erican Fork was installed the new chairman of the Christian Women's Club this week at the dinner meetig held at the Royal Inn. She replaces Mrs. Robert Ogle, who served for the past two years. . Other committee chairmen are Mrs. J. H. Hoyt, vice chairman; chair-man; Mrs,! Henry Camp and Mrs. Carl Fullerton, advisors; Mrs. Fred Rilling, prayer chairman; Mrs. Robert Jones, Pleasant Grove prayer chairman; chair-man; Mrs. Ogle, project chairman; chair-man; Mrs. A. W. Mrs. Percy Laverly, Salt Lake City, gave the address on "Beginnings" tracing some of the important beginnings of the Christian faith from the creation crea-tion down through the ages. Special music was given by Miss Randi Petersen, of Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove. She was accompanied accompan-ied by Mrs. Keith Larson. Mrs. Carl Fullerton read a letter from a village mission in Bay view, Idaho, which is supported sup-ported by the club. A contest of unusual and amusing hats was conducted with prizes given giv-en to winners. The next luncheon , will be held Nov. 10 at the Royal Inn. Mr. and Mrs. Francis Grace of Lehi, announce the forthcoming forth-coming marriage of their daughter, Judy Ann to Kenneth K. Kresser, son of Mr. and Mrsv Edward Kresser of Pleasant Grove. Wedding plans are being made for November 11, and a reception for the young couple will be held Friday, Nov. 12, in the Lehi Third Ward Church. Miss Grace is a graduate of the Lehi High School and Seminary, Sem-inary, where she was a member mem-ber of GAA and FHA. She is also a graduate of Darrell's Beauty College and is now working at Style Art Beauty Salon in Lehi. Mr. Kresser is a graduate of Pleasant Grove High School and was a member of FFA and participated par-ticipated in athletics. He is a member of the Lehi National Guard unit, and has served for 6 months at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. He has attended the Vocational School and BYU and is now working at the Hercules Powder Co. in Magna. The couple will make their home in Lehi. Open House to Honor Max Mdcfarlane, New Bride, Nov, 6 Mrs. J. M., Macfarlane will entertain at an Open House, to be held in honor of her son and daughter in law, Mr. and Mrs. Max Macfarlane on Saturday evening, November 6, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the Third-Sixth Ward Relief Society room. The couple will be married in the Manti Temple on Saturday morning. The bride, Noren Miller Mil-ler is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Miller of Albuquerque, Albuquer-que, New Mexico. She is a dietitian, empjoyed at the State Hospital in Pueblo, Colo. Mr. Macfarlane is a conservationist employed in Canon City, Colo., and is first counselor in the L. D. S. Ward there. No invitations are being sent out, but all relatives and friends are cordially invited to come and meet the young couple and enjoy the evening with them. They will establish a home in Canon City, Colo. Potpourri Club Holds Meeting Last Thursday Evening Members of Les Potpourri Club met at the home of Lee Ann Richards Thursday evening, even-ing, Oct. 28 and enjoyed a Halloween party. The ladies were escorted through a spook alley by Dean Richards, assisted by Karen Fowlke and Kent Richards. After this tour was completed, a costume parade followed, where udges were Mrs. Blaine Richards, Mrs. Delbert Atkinson, Atkin-son, Karen Fowlke and Jane Richards. Prizes were won by Jane Keetch and special guest Louise Lou-ise Austin for the funniest and best costumes, respectively. Games were played, after which delicious refreshments were served by hostesses Lynda Lyn-da Sweat and Ann Lee Richards. Rich-ards. LINDON The Llndon Lions recently held a special turkey dinner with all the trimmings at the Lions Club building at Lindon Park. Special honored guests and speakers were Mayor Joseph Christiansen and Dean Perry, and their wives. A special program of pictures pic-tures was shown on fishing, of the beautiful canyons and mountain homes. The pictures were shown by Mr. and Mrs. Darrel Huish. A past president's pin was presented to former Lions Club president, Joseph Swenson by President Ray Green. Also, the Lindon Lions Club was presented pre-sented an award by Melvin Jones, of the membership foundation foun-dation of Lions Clubs, for a 12 man membership gain. Cadmus Club Holds Meeting Last Wednesday Evening Cadmus Club meeting was held last Wednesday evening at a cafe in Orem. Co-hostesses were Mrs. Lucille Hillman anc Mrs. Be mice Chris tensen. The program consisted of a trio, Joanna Major, Marilyn Howe and Priscilla Baird sang 'Those Pioneers." Maymetta Johnson gave a poem by Fern Russon, "The Why of History." Ora Thome and Rose Hillman gave some history of Utah, centering cen-tering around the theme "Entering "En-tering Statehood" and outlining some of the political problems of that time. Thirty-five members and guests were present. Refreshments Refresh-ments and decorations were in keeping with the thought of Halloween. Attend Funeral Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Raw-linson Raw-linson attended the funeral services ser-vices of Mrs. Rawlinson's cousin, cou-sin, Mrs. Wayne Russell in Roy, Utah, where graveside services were held, Mrs. Russell died in Portland, Oregon, last week. Other friends and relatives from this area also attended.
