Many of the students, like Jacob, sold out of their item before the fair was over. M ALA 5th graders learned the value of buying and selling sell-ing on Dec. 12 at their Economics Eco-nomics Fair. The students brought Christmas-themed items to school to sell for a certain amount of tickets. One student, Jacob Savage, sold out of his bottles bot-tles of red nosed rootbeer. About the fair he said, "I liked bargaining with all the customers, it was cool to hear their remarks on what I was selling." The fifth grade entrepreneurs entre-preneurs had a great time selling, and many of them used various tactics to lure customers over to their tar ble. All in all it was a great learning experience for the students, and younger students stu-dents enjoyed coming away with treasures and treats.
