The tutors must give one hour of time on two days per week and must attend tutor training. There is a paid position available for an Assistant Director at the Mapleton Family Literacy Center. You must be interested interest-ed in children, familiar with teaching and reading read-ing techniques, pass a background check, and be available from two to four mornings a week in the summer and two to four afternoons after school during the school year. Parents may visit the Library Li-brary at the end of May to learn about the Summer Reading Program and to register their children. All students must consistently consistent-ly read books during the summer months to retain reading skills. Picnic Area Use Picnic areas are day use only areas. Users are not allowed in picnic areas after dark. No overnight camping is allowed in picnic pic-nic areas. Picnic areas are defined as areas with picnic tables that are not located under or within 100 feet of a pavilion, pa-vilion, areas available for open use, and the Bear's Picnic Area. All other areas ar-eas are fee areas. All picnic areas will be available to use without reservations and without fees. Persons may not drive vehicles on grass to access any picnic area. Picnic areas are available avail-able on a first-come first-served first-served basis. Picnic areas will not be reserved for any reason. Picnic area users may not use pavilion areas or campsites without paying appropriate fees. The waste is mostly contaminated soils, building debris and uranium urani-um mill tailings.
