Show Thursday, January 10, 2008 SPRINGVILLE HERALD 15 t Marsha Steggell named State Instructor 7 A-f s& tf Willard Leori Vincent Willard Leon Vincent passed away January 2, 2008 in Olympia, Washings ton. Leon was a dedicated son, a caring husband and father, a patriot, and-a deeply spiritual man. He is survived by his wife, Dawn; four children: $, Victoria Ann Vincent, Daniel Royce Vincent, Jeffrey Vance, Vincent and Richard Bernard Vin- cent; three step-children: Reynol E. Bowman, Rae- v marie Steele and Myrle Guthrie; two sons-in-law, four daughters-in-law, 20 grandchildren, 16 greatgrandchildren great-grandchildren and two sis- ters, Eva Jean Nelson and Afton Larson. He was preceded pre-ceded in death by his wife, Terry; two sons, James Leon Vincent and Michael Floyd Vincent; parents, Willard James and Fanny ' Elizabeth Clayson Vincent; Vin-cent; a brother, Floyd Vin- V Willard Leon Vincent cent, and a sister, Mildred Higham. Our family appreciates the loving care provided to Dad over the past three years by care-givers at Puget Sound Health Care. We also thank the many dear church and community commu-nity friends who visited him and Dawn over those years and cared for their needs so self lessly. i Leon was born April 25, 1920 and raised in Spanish Span-ish Fork, Utah. In 1941, he moved to Los Angeles, CA to work in a Lockheed assembly factory. He met and married Theresa Norma Nor-ma Roy (Terry) Feb. 21 1942, and was then drafted into the Army. His family moved to Spanish Fork and then to Alexandria, VA, while Leon served as a member of the Counter Intelligence Corps of the Army. , ' After the war, the family fam-ily moved back to Spanish Fork and then to Spring-ville, Spring-ville, Utah. Leon worked at the Geneva Works of US Steel in Orem, Utah, retiring after 33 years of service. Theresa diedrjn January of 1980. , :1 He met Dawn White Bowman about a year and a half later and marr ried her in the Seattle LDS Temple. He was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He and Dawn were able to serve a mission for the church among the Cambodian immigrants im-migrants in Los Angeles, CA. They also served as workers in the temples in Provo, UT and Seattle, WA. Funeral services will be held at Wheeler Mortuary in Springville on Friday, Jan. 11 at 11 a.m. Visitation with the family fam-ily will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, and 1 hour prior to the service on Friday. Fri-day. Interment will be at Spanish Fork Cemetery. June Hughes Haymond June Hughes Haymond, 78, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, great-grandmother, and devoted member of the LDS Church, passed away on January Janu-ary 5, 2008 in Santa Ana, California. She was born on May 14, 1929 in Spanish Span-ish Fork, Utah, to Frank L. . Hughes and Emma Phillips Hughes. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Dr. Richard E. Haymond; children: chil-dren: Ann Lambourne, Steven Ste-ven R. Haymond (Diane), 'Teresa L. Bell (James), Brenda H. Lester (Rick), Jon D. Haymond (Elizabeth) and Shannon Brague (Stephen); (Ste-phen); 25 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery on Saturday, Jan. 12, at 1 p.m. under the direction of Wheeler Mortuary. Congratulations to Marsha Mar-sha Steggell. She has been selected as a State Instructor Instruc-tor for the State of Utah. Marsha has been an Instructor In-structor for Nebo School District for the past five years, as well as a bus driver driv-er for over 22 years. Her responsibilities in clude training all of the new bus drivers for the district, as well as keeping our regular drivers current on the state required training. train-ing. School of Law in Topeka, Kansas', on Dec. 15, 2007 with a Juris Doctorate Degree De-gree ' ' ' He is taking the Colorado Colo-rado Bar exam in February Febru-ary where he and is wife, Devri, and three daughters: Addison, Olivia and Ella, are hoping to relocate.
