In its first year, the Red Reform has become trie jchool's largest clubvfith nearly, 400 members. A group of friends first approached SHS principal Rick Robbins back in August Au-gust with an idea. "This; is my senior year," said founding president Cody Hansen, "and I felt like our school spirit was lousy. We talked about our idea to start a pride club with Mr. Robbins and he supported us all the way." Andrew Whiting, a current cur-rent vice-president in the club said, "We were tired of people walking around in the halls like they didn't even know each other. We wanted to see what we could do to change the attitude at-titude to make people proud to be a Red Devil" Now, halfway through the year, the Red Reform can write several successes success-es into his history book. Throughout the year, club leaders have strategically designed activities to bring students together and build friendships. The attendance at-tendance at ballgames has increased,, and the club has sponsored a fund-raiser project, giving students the opportunity to see how much good they can do when they unite together. Their project included collecting money to buy phone cards for soldiers serving in Iraq. Last Monday, Mon-day, Jan. 7, a soldier visited vis-ited the school to collect the cards on behalf of his fellow soldiers. . "It takes a great deal of 1 ... . i nnannnn mart .
