During the discussions they made a goal to sit by someone new during lunch. They also talked about what it is like to be "ugly" to groups of other people and what it is like to be one of the ducks calling others ugly. In "Firegirl" there was a lot of discussion on how people change our lives even when they are a part of us only briefly and how they would react if they had another student who had been severely burned. They are looking forward to next month's books which deal with courage.
