The meeting will be held: Wednesday, July 25 5 to 7 p.m. Springville City Senior Center 65 East 200 South, Springville The meeting will be in an open house format to allow the public to talk one-on-one with project team members. "400 South is the primary access into Springville and Mapleton. As the area continues to grow, congestion will only increase along the highway. It's important for us to meet with area residents and business owners along the corridor to discuss the proposed improvements," said John Higgins, UDOT Project Manager. Corridor improvements include: Rebuilding the existing freeway interchange in-terchange as a single-point urban interchange (or SPUI), building a new bridge over the Union Pacific Railroad located at approximately 1500 West, widening 400 South from 1-15 to U.S. 89 and adding an auxiliary lane along southbound 1-1 5 between the two Springville interchanges. $82 million in federal and state funds have been allocated for improvements im-provements to S.R. 77. This includes an additional $43 in state funds, recently approved by the Utah Transportation Commission for widening widen-ing the corridor between 1-15 and U.S. 89.
