The council asked the public safety people to consider con-sider all available locations for a new public safety building. The fire department depart-ment is especially concerned con-cerned about not having to back their trucks into the building as is presently the case. The department reminded re-minded the council of their promise to consider a new building for the public safety departments upon completion of the new city hall. The council is obligated to come up with $1 million for the new west city well, should the well prove out. Brennen is either lucky or clairvoyant because he guessed the right number of taffy in the jar and won the wagon. Brennen was so excited to win. Artistic Ar-tistic Circle, Springville, was arrested for burglary of a vehicle, theft and possession pos-session of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Jodi Lyn Spencer, 956 S. Center, Santaquin, was charged with theft by deception. Brittany Lynn Stras-burg, Stras-burg, 970 S. 1060 East, Springville, was cited for intoxication. Timothy Allen Al-len Welch, 1539 E. 500 South, Spanish Fork, has been charged with issuing bad checks. Thefts included a generator gen-erator and DVD from an RV; money from a vehicle; gasoline skip; mail from a home; cash from a vehicle parked in a garage; motorcycles motor-cycles from White Knucle Sports; two bike tires; video vid-eo camera from a home; and a garbage can. Three vehicles were broken bro-ken into and the seat of one was burned. There were two attempted suicides and three persons reported as runaways. Brimley, of whom President Bush once said, "Who?" you will recognize as the mayor in the movie, "Brigham City," which was filmed in Mapleton, lots of it in the Mapleton Park. Many will not realize that Brimley is a world-class vocalist vo-calist and a singer of ballads in English and Spanish. He learned to play guitar during his IDS mission in Mexico many years ago, Brimley is warm, wonderful and sure to make you chuckle! Angler Special at Select State Parks It will soon cost less to fish at four of Utah's most popular state park fishing waters. Beginning Wednesday, July 5, anglers with a valid val-id 365-day Utah fishing or combination license can fish Tuesdays, Wednesdays Wednes-days and Thursdays, for $5 a day, at Jordanelle, Deer Creek, Rockport and East Canyon state parks. Utah residents 62 years of age or older can fish for $3. This discount offer will continue through the year, but itis not valid on holidays. holi-days. To take advantage of the reduced rate, anglers must show their valid 365-day fishing license as they enr ter the park. The day-use fee covers the license hold er and up to seven passengers passen-gers traveling in the same private vehicle. While only one of the eight people needs to have a valid fishing fish-ing license to get the entire v carload in for $5, anyone planning to fish must have a license. ' Jordanelle, Deer Creek, Rockport and East Canyon Can-yon state parks are four of Utah's most popular fish- , ing waters. "We've doubled the number num-ber of rainbow trout that we normally stock in Jordanelle Jor-danelle and Deer Creek," says Roger Wilson, sport fisheries coordinator for the Division of Wildlife Resources. Re-sources. "Rainbow trout fishing can also be good at Rockport, and anglers who fish about 30 to 40 feet deep at East Canyon can expect to catch trout too." Wilson also reports good smallmouth bass fishing at Jordanelle right now. Annual park passes are available for $70 and allow al-low day-use entrance for the permit holder and up to seven guests in the same vehicle. The pass is valid one year from the month purchased and is available at all state parks and the Utah State Park administrative adminis-trative of f ice in Salt Lake City.
