Danielle Bodily, daughter of Kurt and Sheryl Bodily of Springville, received her Young Womanhood Recognition Award in the Hobble Creek Sixth Ward. Some of the projects she completed were reading the Book of Mormon, helping out at her aunt's school, and helping in the Hobble Creek Elemenmtary Library. Her projects included in-cluded learning CPR and becoming becom-ing certified. She also made picture pic-ture books for orphanages around the world. She has been involved in cheerleading for years and has taught many young girls skills. She made a temple time capsule. She's learned the skills of exercise and eating right. She learned embroidery skills and made many projects. The Sons of the Utah Pioneers, Palmyra Chapter, for their April meeting meet-ing had as guest speaker Gary Jolley, Battalion Chief with the Provo Fire Department. He talked about home safety, first-aid, paramedics, search and rescue, F.E.M.A. and needs in case of emergency on the highway and in the home. Marva Davis gave a short history about her great-grandfather, John Waters, and her husband's (Keith Davis) great-grandfather, William H. Kelsey, who were friends in England, and how they came to Springville at different times and helped each other building their lives in this area. W ' pi Kalli Kronemiller of Springville received the Golden Apple Award for her excellence in teaching at Aspen As-pen Elementary in the Alpine School District. In handing out the award, the Aspen PTA said they chose Kronemiller because only in her second year of teaching she, "already endeared en-deared herself to countless students and families. She is vivacious and lively with a magnetic personality. She masterfully blends learning with playfullness, ensuring that all her students want to be in class." Kronemiller sings and plays the guitar in the classroom, class-room, and last spring made each of her students a CD on which she recorded favorite songs from the year. Parents say that she is "wonderful at building confidence confi-dence in her students." Along with learning, Korne-miller's Korne-miller's students leave her classroom knowing they are special. "When kids see her in the lunchroom or the halls, she is quick to give them a big high-five, and she is always eager to support school activities," ac-tivities," said one parent. She has been seen in the dunk-tank, dunk-tank, ice skating alongside her students, and serving cake at various family socials so-cials during the year. "She is talented, dedicated and full of life.
