The Pet Dish PUBLIC NOTICE Dr. Harold Davis Write to the Springville Herald to ask the Veterinarian Veteri-narian about your pets, the address is 269 E. 400 S., Springville, Utah 84663. Question. I've had a cat for about eight years and I truly love her and really enjoy her companionship. Yet, every time I take her to the veterinarian veteri-narian or buy her special treats, my neighbor friend makes all these silly jokes about how I crazy I am. Am I alone in loving my cat? Answer. You are most definitely def-initely not alone in caring for your cat! You join millions mil-lions of others world wide who really care for cats and for their other pets. Historically, Histori-cally, cats have had great favor. fa-vor. The Egyptians treated cats as gods. For centuries in Japan, cats received luxuri ous treatment. Besides being kept as pets, cats in Europe and early America were extremely ex-tremely important in controlling con-trolling rats and the spread of dreaded diseases such as the Plague. You, like millions of others in today's world, esteem cats for their companionship, their wonderful graceful actions ac-tions and their mousing wizardry. wiz-ardry. Here's a few quotes about cats, I think you would really enjoy: Thousands of years ago, cats were worshipped as gods. Cats have never forgotten for-gotten this. Cats are smarter than dogs. You would never get eight cats to pull a sled through the snow. (Jeff Valdez) As every cat owner knows, nobody owns a cat. (Ellen Perry Berkley) Dogs come when they are Public Notice Notice is hereby here-by given that at their regular meeting meet-ing to Ibe held at 7:00 p.m. on March 1, 2005 in the City Council Chambers at 50 South Main, the Springville City Council will hold public hearings to consider: 1) an amendment to 11-4-506 of Springville City Code 1991 to amend lot coverage allowances in the Business Park Zone, and 2) a zone amendment to change the zoning on property at about 1000 North 450 West in the Spring Creek Industrial In-dustrial Park from BP (Business Park) to LI-M (Light Industrial In-dustrial Manufacturing). Jo Evans, City Recorder Published in The Springville Herald on February 17,2005 called; cats take a message and get back to you later. (Mary Bly) People that hate cats will come back as mice in their next life. (Faith Resnick) There are two means of refuge from the miseries of life: music and cats. (Albert Schweitzer) So tell you neighbor friend if she keeps having kittens about the importance of a cat; that there is more than one way to skin a cat and you'll quit pussyfooting around and let the cat out of the bag, so I'll really start to rain cats and dogs on her parade!
