Show SOCIAL EVENTS Cati Nielson, Wayne Vance temple vows December 11, 2003 - The Springville Herald - Page Five Wayne Vance, son of Leo and Olive of Mapleton, Utah, will marry Cati Nielson, daughter of Norman and Mary Nielson of Vernal, on Friday, Dec. 12, 2003 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. A reception will be held in their honor that evening from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the Empire Room of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. Friends and relatives are invited to attend. Cati served an LDS mission to Dublin, Ireland. Upon returning, she attended Brig-ham Brig-ham Young University where she received a degree in humanities. She is now employed by CompHealth in Salt Lake City. Wayne serve an LDS mission in New York, New York, North, spanish-speaking mission. He Charlyn Roberts, Preston Child to trade vows Bryan and Brenda Roberts of Mapleton, Utah are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Charlyn, to Preston David Child, son of David and Diane Child, also of Mapleton. The couple plans to be married on Friday, Dec. 12, 2003. All family and friends are invited to attend a reception held in their honor that evening from 6 to 8 p.m at the Mapleton Stake Center, 970 N. 400 East, Mapleton. Charlyn attended Springville High School and recently received her certification in floral design. She is employed by Cirque Lodge in Orem. Preston also attended SHS. He later attended Utah Valley State College studying collision repair and is currently employed by Kc's Bend N' Mend in Provo. Attending the bride will be Amy Evans, Mandy Masterson and Aspyn Child. The bestman will be Richard Gast, with Jason Evans and Tyler Roberts attending. I U 11 Cati Nielson-Wayne Vance graduated from BYU with a major in accounting ac-counting and now works for Omniture, in Orem. The couple will make their home in Draper, Utah. The couple thank all family and friends for their help in making this a special day and also extend a special invitation to anyone they might have missed. ------ Carols by Christmas Light Benefit Concert If you haven't heard, there will be a new tradition this year at Christmas time. The McSweeney family, from Australia, have brought a tradition to America, which will now be available to all Utahns. Each year they have had a small gathering and concert singing Christmas carols by candle light. As this has grown into hundreds who wish to attend, this year Carols By Christmas Light has been borne. It will be held Monday, Dec. 15, at 7 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom at UVSC. Tickets are available at UVSC Campus Connection, adults $10; children 12 and under $6, family pass $30. The Carols By Christmas Light Concert will be a concert, as well as an audience audi-ence sing along of five or six carols. The. concert will be a benefit concert for the U.S. Marines Corps Toys For Tots program. As well as raising money thru ticket sales for this benefit, a booth will be set up at the concert where you can bring toys in for donation to the program. Artists will perform two to three songs. Those performing per-forming include: Paul Car- dall, Shane Jackman, Greg Simpson, Thorn Sequoia, Fiddlesticks , Moosebutter , Dave Rail, Jr., The McSweeney McSwee-ney Sisters and Carey Stock-well.
