LEAVE THE FIREWORKS AT HOME: Possessing or discharging dis-charging any kind of fireworks or other pyrotechnic devices within National Forest System lands is prohibited. Most wildfires that occur around the July 24th holiday holi-day are related to fireworks. CAMPFIRES: Fire restrictions restric-tions for national forests in norther north-er Utah are in effect. This order prohibits open fires of any kind (including briquettes) except campfires in developed campgrounds camp-grounds and facilities, and smoking smok-ing except within an enclosed vehicle or building, a developed recreation site, or while stopped in an area at least three feet in diameter that is barren or cleared of flammable materials. Stoves fueled by liquid petroleum or LPG fuels are permitted. The Uinta National Fores is experiencing a high number of illegal and abandoned campfires. .Although, ..the forest received some moisture last week, it was not enough to decrease the fire danger so recreationists are urged to exercise extreme caution. Visitors are reminded that if a fire results from their negligence or carelessness, they can be held responsible for the entire suppression suppres-sion cost of the fire. ' RECREATION OPPORTUNITIES: OPPORTU-NITIES: All campgrounds in the Uinta National Forest are open except Lodgepole Campground on the Heber Ranger District.
