The couple plans to be married on Wednesday, July 27, 1994 in Spanish Fork by the bride's uncle, Bishop J. Orland Seaver. A reception will be held that evening at the Bella Via Reception Center, 519 N. Main, Spanish Span-ish Fork from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The bride-to-be graduated from Springville High School and LDS Seminary. She is employed at Springville High and will attend Utah Valley State College this fall. She is a granddaughter of Vernon and Betty Seaver of Orem and the late Earl and Vaunda Kynaston of Nampa, Idaho. The Prospective groom also graduated from Springville High School. He is employed al Hobble Creek Stock Products in Springville. He is the grandson of Nolan and Aileen Weight and Lavor and Dean Cloward of Springville. The couple will make their home in Springville. Jennifer Simons, Mace Hansen temple wedding Jennifer Elizabeth Simons, daughter of Morris and Luan Simons of Springville, will marry Mace Bert Hansen, son of Joseph Bert Hansen of Lake-shore Lake-shore and Connie Hansen of Payson, on Friday, July 23, 1994 in the Jordon River LDS Temple. A reception will be held for the newlyweds that evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on the south lawn of the Oak Crest Inn, 1752 S. Highway 6, Spanish Span-ish Fork. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. The bride-to-be graduated from Spanish Fork High School and has attended Ricks College. She is employed in Springville. Her fiance graduated from Payson High School. He served an LDS mission in Denmark and is continuing his education at Utah Valley State College. He is emloyed in Spanish Fork. Children's Sundance kids theatre choir forming playing "Phoebe's Closet" The Mt. Nebo Children's Choir will begin its second season sea-son in the Springville area. The directors, Leslie Walker and Leanna Crockett, are excited to begin a new year of musical training with young singers ages 6-14. This past year, the choir enjoyed en-joyed performing concerts at the Museum of Art, local churches and schools. They perform a variety of music suited for teaching teach-ing children to sing in unison and two and three-part harmony. As many as fifty children from throughout Utah Valley were enrolled in the choir last year. As interest is growing, Walker and Crockett will be adding a training choir for young children, ages 6-8. 6-8. This will enable kids to learn better at their age level and development. de-velopment. On August 1-5, the directors will offer a special introductory choir camp. Choir members will learn singing skill's to help the group get started in the fall. The directors are looking for kids who have talents in singing at all levels of experience. Most importantly, children should be excited about learning to sing and want to work. Thoreau A child's imagination serves as the launching pad to a distant galaxy in "Phoebe's Closet," which opens the third season of performances by the Sundance Children's Theatre. Written by Mary Gail with music by Michael Silvester, the play was developed in the 1993 Sundance Playwrights Laboratory, and is receiving its world premiere on Sundance's 250-seat King Stage. Phoebe Potts is a youngster whose biggest fear is fear itself. When she is suddenly swept from her closet to Galvos, a planet light years away, she meets Melf the Gelf, a native who like all Gelves, can foretell the future and heal with his magical hands. Her own fears and cynicism .wreak havoc on the Gelvan solar system, and Phoebe must restore a natural balance to their world before she can learn the secret of the hands and return home to earth. Phobe learns to act with responsibility re-sponsibility and courage, and that life lived in a spirit of giving, friendship and community is the best way of facing problems. The play is suitable for children of all ages, but is best appreciated by those who have reached school age. Performances are Thursdays at 11 a.m.-and Fridays and Saturdays Satur-days at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. through August 20. The second Sundance Children's Theatre production, "Finding Home,", will play at Sundance August 25 through September 3 before touring Utah schools this fall. Barnetts celebrate Faun and Shirl Barnett, of Orem, formerly of Springville, celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary with family and close friends on June 15, 1994. The party was held at their home and guests enjoyed light refreshments and looking through photograph albums of the Barn-ett's Barn-ett's sixty years together. They were married June 15, 1934 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple shortly after Shirl graduated from Brigham Young University. Shirl worked for Utah Power and Light, was part owner and manager of the B & G store in Springville. He was cost-accountant for U.P.M., worked for Geneva Steel and Columbia Steel Engineers and also worked for Pacific States Cast Iron Pipe Co. as a cost accountant and credit manager where he retired after thirty years. He was a member of the Price and Springville Kiwanis Clubs, Provo Lions, Downtown Coaches and the Cougar Club. He was on the Board of Directors of Utah timber and Coal; vice-president of Crown Point Consolidated Mining Co.; and president of Ashton Theatre Co. where Faun was secretary-treasurer. Faun originated the Knit Wit Club in Price, was a member of Bonheur Ladies' Club in Provo and a Literary Club in Springville. They are the parents of Mrs. Howard (Sherry) Schultz of Tillamook, Oregon and Steven Barnett of Santa Fe, New Mexico. They have two grandchildren, Steven Brunton of St. George, Utah and Barbara Strasburg of Pleasant Grove, Utah. They have 12 great-grandchildren. Louisa Shepherd to celebrate Calvin David Rowley, son of David and Georgette Rowley, celebrated his first birthday on July 17, 1994. His grandparents are Dean and Bonnie Rowley of Springville and George and Margaret McKenney of Austel, Georgia. He is the great-grandson great-grandson of Nellie Rowley of Orem and Paul and Mary Hemingway of Roseville, California. Born at Mountain View Hospital: July 15, 1994 Girl to Robert and Julie Johnson of Springville. Girl to Karl and Kara Otterson of Springville. Boy to Tim and Sherrie Snydergaard of Springville. Louisa R. Shepherd, a long time resident of Mapleton, will celebrate her 80th birthday on Tuesday, July 26, 1994. Her family, would like to pay tribute to her and all she has done for them. She is the mother of three, Jack Shepherd, Maria Dickerson, and Mickey Shepherd; grandmother grand-mother of 1 1 ; great-grandmother of many, and great-great grandmother grand-mother of one (Zackery). She has lived in Mapleton for 51 years. She dearly enjoys her many friends and neighbors. She has many accomplishments accomplish-ments and talents. She is an active member of the LDS Church. She has served as a Sunday School teacher, a Relief Society teacher, a temple worker, a genealogical worker and a visiting teacher.
