He is a 1977 graduate of Springville High School, is married mar-ried to the former Laurie Page and they have two children. The event is open to all friends and relatives. The bride-to-be graduated from Springville High School. She is presently a student at Evans Beauty College Col-lege in Provo. The prospective groom graduated from SHS and is employed at Stouffer's Foods in Springville. They will make their first home in Provo. Adrienne Rasmussen, Devin Jensen to marry Saturday Adrienne Dawn Rasmussen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Duane Dallin of Springville and Mr. and Mrs. Craig Rasmussen of Cleveland, Utah, will marry Devin S. Jensen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas V. Jensen of Mapleton, on Saturday, July 8, 1989. A reception recep-tion will honor the couple that evening from 8 until 10 p.m. at the Oak Crest Inn, 2600 North Canyon Drive, Spanish Fork. The event is open to all friends and relatives. Matron of honor will be sister of the bride, Rainee Rasmussen with Rachel Harness, Karolyn Davis and Carolyn Richards as bridesmaids. Walter and Manita Clayton Fowler will honor their parents on their 50th Wedding Anniversary at an open house to be held Saturday, Satur-day, July 8 from 6:30 until 9:30 p.m. at the Fowler home, 2092 E. 850 So., Springville. Spr-ingville. All friends and relatives of the couple are invited to attend. They request re-quest no gifts. The couple were married May 1, 1939, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. The Fowlers were both born and raised in Ogden. Following his graduation from the University of Utah, Walter worked a short time for Denver Fire Clay Co. in Denver. In 1938, he was hired by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation where he worked until his retirement in February, 1977. He was awarded several times during his career, and retired as Chief Engineer of the Equipment Installation In-stallation and Inspection Branch. In 1960, Manita began working for Continental Continen-tal Airlines in their Denver offices. Two years later, she was hired by Frontier Airlines where she worked until her retirement in 1977. Both of the Fowlers have been active in church and civic endeavors. Walter has held many church positions including Bishop, and Stake High Counselor. He also served on the Mission Board of the Eastern States Mission. Manita has also held many positions in the church, including Counselor in several auxiliary aux-iliary presidencies, Stake Primary Board member, and Stake Relief Society Secretary. She has also served as Ward Organist and Pianist in all the auxiliaries. aux-iliaries. She has been active in the P.T.A. and has served as P.T.A. President. The couple now reside in Springville. They have six children: Roger Clayton Fowler (deceased), Mrs. Ron (Ann) Van Woerkom, Boise, John Emerson Fowler, Atlanta, Mrs. Ray (Alice) Oliver, Milford, Connecticut, Mrs. Jeffrey (Audrey) Talley, Provo, and Richard Walter Fowler, Jr., Baton Rouge. They have twenty-four grandchildren. V ! j . i if Erwin and Betty Anderson have returned home recently after serving an LDS mission in Winncpeg, Canada. Their homecoming will be held Sunday, July 9, 1989 at 11 a.m. in the Springville Stake Center. 1 Y v Russell F. and Beverry B.
