Mapleton hosts Utah County baseball mass meeting By Franklin Nielsen District directors, Wave Miguel and John'Childs of the Pony and Colt Baseball Leagues, have announced a mass meeting for all Utah County league presidents and officers. This meeting for all personnel in District 2 will take the place of the mass meeting usually held in Salt Lake City. It will be held Saturday, Feb. 11 at 2:00 p.m. in Mapleton City Hall, 55 East Maple Street. Miguel reports that Denzil L. Hancey, State Director, will preside over this meeting. All officers are expected to be present to receive annual information and materials for league play. Diabetic Assoc. to meet "Managing the Diabetic Diet" will be the subject of this months meeting of the Utah Valley Chapter of the American Diabetic Assn. The meeting will be held Thursday, Feb. 9, at 7:30 p.m. in the Clark Auditorium at Utah Valley Hospital. Clark Aud. is just off the South Parking lot. Special emphasis will be given the use of the new sweeteners now in the general market. Chapter president, Guy Thompson, Thomp-son, urges diabetics, and people with diabetics in their families, to attend this meeting. "You don't have to be a member to attend," says Thompson, Thomp-son, "and we'd like to meet you and learn about our common problem." Thompson says that monthly meetings are planned for the second Thursday of each month with exciting ex-citing speakers and subjects planned for the year.
