He was born Nov. 29, 1906 at Springville to Cornelius Anson and Emma Beardall VanLeuven. He married Ida Betts Oct. 10, 1935 at Springville. He attended schools in Springville and graduated from the Springville High School where he was active in school activities and singing groups. Prior to his retirement at the Lumberyards in Springville. Survivors include his wife of Springville, 1 son and 1 daughter C. Ronald VanLeuven and Mrs. Jo Ann Ludlow both of Sandy, eight grandchildren; grand-children; a sister and brother, Mrs.1 Hilda Boyack, Spanish Fork, Ardeen VanLeuven of Springville. He was preceeded in death by a daughter Marie. Byron Turtle Byron Tuttle, 80, 410 West Center, Springville, died Tuesday February 9, al an Orem convelescent home of causes incident to age. He was born February 6, 1902, at Manti, the son of William Marion and Emma Caroline Bench Tuttle. He married Emily Pernellie Strong June 5, 1929, in the Manti LDS Temple. Mrs. Tuttle died in September 1MK1. He was an active member of the LDS Church where he held the office of high priest. He was a successful farmer and worked for U.S. Steel for 23 years, and was a member of the retired Sleelworkers. He is survived by four sons and one daughter, Mrs. Neal (Thelma) Titcomb, Harold Strong Tuttle, Earl William Tuttle, Donald Byron Tuttle. Glen Elias Ti'ttle, all of Springville; o.:c sisler, Ruth Larsen of Manti; 22 grandchildren and 19 greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Springville :ird-9th-22nd Ward Chapel, 100 North Main Street, Bishop Frank Memory officiating. Friends may call at the Wheeler Mortuary in Springville Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. or Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery. Internal Medicine, of Provo. Dr. and Mrs. Krebs recently returned from a 250-mile hiking hik-ing trip through Nepal, a small country located high in the mountains between India and Tibet. Dr. Krebs' travelogue gave club members an insight into living conditions and how dress style changed with each 11100-foot elevation. The people peo-ple of Nepal terrace the mountains and grow a considerable amount of their food. A potato about two inches in diameter is considered large. They are grow n al elevations up to III.OOO feet. Dr. Krebs' party climbed to IH.(MK) feet, but saw mountains on up to 2K.000 feet.
