Mr. Hulbert, a native of Minnesota, made his debut in St. Paul at the age of 16. He later studied under Sascha Gorod- nitzki, earning his bachelors and masters degrees from Julliard School of Music in New York. He was awarded the Alton Jones Memorial Scholarship, the Linda Jones Isreal Scholarship and most recelnty, the highest award in the prestigious Gina Bachauer Memorial Scholarship. He enjoys all sports and was a member of the high school golf team. He" has;held various positions in his priesthood quorums and plans to serve on a mission. Todd L: Sermersheim, 17 year old son of Jerry and Judy Sermersheim, will receive his Duty To God Award Thursday, February 26 a't the Springville North 19th Ward Scout Banquet. Todd has been active in the LDS Church all his life. He has served as president of the deacon and teacher quorums and is , now the second assistant in the priest quorum. He is planning to go on a mission when he is 19. Todd loves the outdoors and is an avid back packer, hunter and fisherman. He also enjoys many sports such as basketball, baseball and tennis. He is an Eagle Scout and has been a good example for his four younger brothers to look up to. Craig Bradley Warren, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Warren, will receive his Duty To. God Award Thursday, February 26 at the Springville North 19th Ward Scout Banquet. Craig is 18 years old and is a senior at Springville High School. He lists his favorite class as chemistry and plans to attend college after An organ recital featuring Marilyn Ballard, organist, will be held Sunday, March 1, at 7 p.m. in the Springville North Stake Cennter, 400 N. 400 E. Kenneth Davies, violinist, and Loretta King, vocal soloist, will be guest artists. Mrs. , Ballard, the former Marilyn Martyn, was born in Los Angeles. She studied piano with Dr. Thelo Becker and is now a pupil of Dr. Doublas Bush. She is a senior at BYU w here her major is organ pedogogy. In 1947, she married Charles Ballard, a returned Navy veteran. They are parents of a large family, and their grandchildren, soon to number ten, are the delight of their lives. Mr. Davies was born in 1955 to Mr. and Mrs. Donald Leon Davies. He has always lived in Mapleton. He attended Springville High School where he began his violin studies with Harmon Hatch and is now a senior at BYU with music theory as his major. Violin is his major instrument and he has also studied with Dr. Nordgren and Dr. Laycock. He filled a mission lor the LDS Church in Japan. Mrs. King was born Loretta Steiner in Burley, Idaho. She came to BYU in 1973 with an academic scholarship. Loretta received a music theatre talent award. She was in BYU's production of the "Magic Flute" in 1977. She is the wife of Randall King and they have three daughters. Dr. Roy Ar-bizu Ar-bizu is her vocal teacher. Musettes scholarship benefit set March 1 9 Loretta King You may soon be contacted by a member of the Musettes and offered a chance to buy a ticket to a special performance of ' "West Side Story." The ' famous musical will be performed at the Villa Theater in March by a professional group of actors under the direction of Jayne Luke and Craig Call.
