Open letter Open letter Ollerton defended Editor, I'm sure we were not the only residents of Springville who were shocked and appaled at the headlines in that "other paper" last week concerning one of our leading citizens, Mr. Jerry Ollerton. Having known Jerry for many years, we felt the article was slandering to both his reputation as a businessman and his personal character as well. Jerry is far from being the drug-pusher that article made him out to be. He has always been honest in his dealings with patrons at the Merrill Appliance Repair Prompt Service Shop or Home ' StrnS.UtCMitj 798-2717 B no answer call 419-7474 600 West Highway SALEM pharmacy and has shown great love and concern for people coming into the store. His interest goes beyond just making money. He has served for many years on the City Council, giving of his personal time and talents to help make our city a better place to live. He also went through the difficult training course that qualified him as a paramedic on the City ambulance crew. Many people have been helped in medical emergencies by Jerry and others on the ambulance crew. Jerry has served and helped in various organizations in the church. He has a lovely and talented wife and five great kids who deserve to read about the out-standing out-standing accomplishments ac-complishments and all the good things their dad has done, instead of seeing him named a felon in. newsprint,, r. . We have great respect for Jerry and feel he has done much to help people in this community. I Kudos to Firemen We want to compliment the Springville Fire Department.
