Devil mafmen defeat Flyers By Craig Conover Springville Red Devils mat men won a victory over the Dixie Flyers in a match that could have gone either way had the Flyers had someone to wrestle in the 187 division against Dave Doty. Trent Harmer was the first to go for Springville at 100 pounds against Beasly of Dixie, who defeated Harmer in a decision that gave Dixie a five point lead to start the match. Kendall Wilson was next up for the Devils and he easily handled Blake at 107 pounds, shutting him out 7-0 and giving Springville three to start their tally off. Bruce Jenkins, wrestling at 114 pounds for the Devils, was against Kunn, whom he pinned with the score tied at 6-6 in the second round with just eight seconds left on the clock. Scott Harmer came next at 121 pounds and he beat Caplin after three hard fought rounds 8-7, giving the Devils a 12-5 edge over the Flyers. At 128 pounds, Mark Wilson beat Rampton after three hard fought rounds 8-7, giving the Devils a 12-5 edge over the Flyers. At 128 pounds, Mark Wilson beat Rampton after three rounds by a decision 3-2, moving the Devils even farther ahead 15-5. Glen Fisk took the mat next at 134 and after the six minutes were up, he was behind Peinin 4-8, giving the flyers three more points to bring it to 15-8. Danny Duncan was next and it took him a-while a-while to get the hang of things, but with 21 seconds left in the match, he put a reverse on his man and pinned him in less than 10 seconds, giving the Devils a still farther lead 21-8. Steve Wilson then took his position on the floor and was able to hold out almost to the bitter end, but Reynolds at 147 was able to get a pin on Wilson with 1:21 left in the third quarter and move the Flyers within 7 to 21-14. At 157 for the Devils was Ed Larsen, who couldn't quite get into the match and got pinned by West with 26 seconds left in the first quarter. So the flyers were able to move with in one point of the Devils and it looked like they might have a chance to win this match. But this was not the thinking of Andy Ferguson, who got tired of messing with Larsen of Dixie after Larsen was able to move to an early lead of 4-0, when Ferguson got an escape. He took down that lead 20 seconds later to a pin for the Devils that put them out in front again 27-20. Dave Doty was supposed sup-posed to wrestlelnext for the Devils at 1875 but the Flyers had to forfeit this match and give up six points to the Devils, with only one match left. Wrestling at heavv weight for the Devils was Jeff Roylance, who totally annihilated Shamper by the score of 17-5, giving the Devils the overall win 37-20. These Old Bones - One of the causes of the fragile bones many older people develop is a chronic deficiency of calcium in the diet. Calcium is essential to metabolism, and if the dietary intake is insufficient, the body uses the supply in the bones. Dairy products like cheese, milk, and butter are good sources of calcium. Dark green, leafy vegetables, nuts and legumes also provide calciums 7 '-' ' ' CM neni7Gfl.fl. pL7cn dam 7ilo UO. DESCRIPTION A3.KO PRICE SALE 6 Vi H. P. In the opening contest, Geneva Rock came from behind to tie Fillmore's State Farm 48-48 with eight seconds left in the game when a jump ball was called. A technical foul was then called on the Geneva Rock bench and another for not having any time outs left after calling time out. State Farm sank three of four free throws to put it away 51-48. Pioneer Drive Inn remained undefeated but this time they came out on top by the skin of their teeth, Jon's Tip Top came out on the short end losing a touch battle 58-56. Miner's Auto seems to be getting their game together as they recorded their second win in another close contest. They beat M&R Equipment Equip-ment 62-56. Chris Sorensen had 24 points for the winners. In the only lopsided game of the week, Bringhurst Painting beat Swiftway Vacuums in an impressive offensive showing, 92-60. Steffen's Realty edged past a much improved Grobben's Pizza Pan 53-47 53-47 to remain in second place.
