Anderson, Springville. The marriage will be witnessed by close friends and relatives at a ceremony to be performed Mar. 1 at the Springville Museum of Art. The bride is a graduate of Springville High School and has attended Stevens Henager Business College. She is presently employed in Farmington. The groom is also a graduate of Springville High School and has attended the University of Utah. He is presently employed in Salt Lake City. Main. All Springville women are invited. The UA of W is an organization through which members may identify and study key womens issues. Each chapter determines its own areas of research, study and action. Springville region currently has two School pals have party A group of high school friends met at the home of Kris Springer to renew their friendship and to wish Kris success as she leaves for an LDS mission to Hong Kong. The evening was spent reminiscing over old times, looking through year books, taking pictures pic-tures and talking abut their plans for the future. The girls in attendance were Cindy Felix Hunt, Michelle Dallin Hardy, Gayle White, Kathy Staheli, Kim Reid, Karen Smith Cherrington, Ronda Schouten Staheli, Leah Stucki and Bonnie Corry. Several of the girls attended a temple session before the party. A delicious potluck dinner was enjoyed. Home Culture-club Culture-club meets The Home Culture Club held its January meeting at the home of Mrs. Bill Kapp, with Mrs. Leonard Harward co - hostess. President Mrs. Angus Hales conducted. A short business session followed a luncheon, including an announcement of a winter meeting being held in Salt Lake City by the State Federation of Women's Clubs on Jan. 26. Mrs. Barbara Hales, Provo, talked on the subject "Woman and Her Future". Marsha Harward, Har-ward, Delores Crandall, and Mrs. Dean Muhlestein were guests of the hostesses. Companions meet today The Companions Club will meet at the home of Mrs. Elaine Puckett today. The program will be given by Mrs. Mary Bird. We owe the potato to the farmers of the Inca empire. Local woman home from haspita Mickey Tipton is convalescing at home after undergoing major surgery at Utah Valley Hospital. Club hears program on author The Mothers' Study Club held its January meeting Jan. 15 at the Sage Inn. Fourteen members and three guests were in attendance. Club president Zelma Seal welcomed all and discussed several matters mat-ters of business. The Club Collect was read by Alice Sudweeks, after which Philda Finley introduced Minnie Groesbeck who gave a program. She told the group about her niece, Glenna Finley, who has written and is still writing many paperback novels. Signet Publishing Company has published more than 30 of her stories. Her contract with them calls for her to complete a manuscript every three months. She tries to write at least three pages a day, and usually starts writing at 10 p.m. After telling about the author, Mrs. Groesbeck reviewed the book, "The Marriage Merger", which was a story of romance and intrigue, and which, like all her books, has a happy ending. en-ding. Bennett, Jr., Provo, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lew C. Bennett, Sr., Dec. l. The couple were married in Las Vegas, Nev. An open house for them Springville Governor of the Kiwanis, Utah - Idaho District, M. Jene Ambrose, Am-brose, Saturday, will be in Springville for his official visit to Division I. Division I includes north Utah County, Pleasant Grove, Orem, Orem Golden K, Provo, Provo Timpanogos Springville, Sp. Fork, Payson, Price, and now a new club organized in Mapleton. The Division I council meeting will be held at the Springville Museum of Art at 4 p.m. All Kiwanians are invited. A banquet in honor of Ambrose will be held at the Springville Middle School at 7 p.m. A musical program has been arranged and Ambrose will be the speaker. The Springville Kiwanis Club is the host club for the event. In addition to serving in Springville woman runs for state club treasurer Teri Averett, a member of the Springville Chapter of the Young Homemakers, is running for State treasurer at the club's convention this year. Mrs. Averett graduated from Springville High School and then married Jerry Averett. They have one daughter, AynLee. They enjoy camping. Mrs. Averett said they pull out the map; pick a spot and take off. They like to camp in a tent or a trailer. Mrs. Averett is active in community and church. She is the PTA commissioner for the Grant School, and the past President of Springville's Volunteer Firemans ladies Auxiliary.
