Depart-ment. As a project the women cleaned and stocked the firemen's kitchen. This will provide them with food and drink when on a fire. The auxiliary's February meeting will be held at the Mapleton City Building on February 14, Valentine's Day. An enjoyable evening is being planned for the auxiliary and their husbands. Kwlney Oldroyd, Christine Child Christine Child sets wedding date Mr. and Mrs. Earl S. Child of Springville announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Christine, to Rodney H. Oldroyd, son of Mr. Roland A. Oldroyd and the late Faye H. Oldroyd of Springville. The couple will recite vows oh March 3, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple with a reception to follow that evening in the Springville Museum of Art. The bride-elect graduated from the Springville High School and Seminary. She attended Ricks College and graduated from Brigham Young University. She is presently employed at Utah Technical College in Orem. Mr. Oldroyd graduated, from Springville High School and Seminary and attended Brigham Young University. He is at present on the board of directors of the Kiwanis Club and Springville Playhouse and is employed in Orem. Cottonwood DUP Camp Camp Cottonwood Daughter of Utah Pioneers met at the home of Melba Johnson for their January 11th meeting. Second Vice Captain Lula Garrett conducted Pledge of Allegience to the flag was led by Freda Stupeck. Arlene Lewis led the group in singing. Vera Anderson called the roll and read the minutes of last month. A report on the County Meeting held January 4 was given by Lula Garrett. Lesson leader. Ilene Coffman gave the lesson on "The Diary." It was from "Leaves from the Record Book of Edwin Charles Cox." Refreshments were served to 14 members by the hostesses Melba Johnson and Vera Anderson. Artistic Cr., Springville. Aureole Club hears 'Norma' The Aureole Club met for January at the home of Allie Goble last Wednesday Nite. President Juanita Larabee conducted the meeting. After the Pledge of Allegiance by the group, Inez Chader read the club collect. President Larabee announced the Mid-Winter Mid-Winter federation meeting to be held in Salt Lake City on January 27th, and encouraged members to try to attend. Mrs. Helen Haymond gave a book review of the book "Norma". The story of Norma Zimmers life. She is the first Lady of Song and a popular performer on the Lawrence Welk T. V. show. It was a very interesting in-teresting evening and a lovely lunch was served to 12 members and one guest. Mrs. Goble was assisted by Mary Schwartz. Laura Webb to wed Kevin D. Coleman Laura Webb will become the bride of Kevin D. Coleman in a ceremony to be performed on February 2 in the Manti LDS Temple. Miss Webb is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. Harold Webb, Springville. Laura has graduated from Springville High and LDS Seminary, and has worked three years for Farmers Insurance Group. Mr. Coleman is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Coleman also of Springville. Kevin graduated from Springville High and LDS Seminary and has served a mission for the L.D.S. Church in Italy , Padova. He is presently attending U.T.C. and working in Springville. A reception will honor the couple the same evening at the Springville Art Museum. The couple will make their home in Springville. K. C. Lynn Giles celebrated his first birthday on January 12. He is the son of Lynn and Janis Giles of Orem. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Bob Foutin of Orem, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Giles, Springville, and Mrs. Alice Wilmott, Springville, is a great-grandmother. Camp Koda holds meet The January meeting of Camp Koda DUP was held at the home of Alta D. Nelson, with Vivian D. Averett and Zelma P. Beardall co-hostesses. , The meeting was conducted by Oralynn B. Ash, vice captain, who also gave the history of her grandmother Sarah Bateman Clyde. The lesson was given by Bernita B. Morgan on "The Diary." Mothers Study Club meets The Mothers Study Club held its meeting at the Sage Inn. with President Josephine Conover greeting the members and guests. She read a Poem "Contentment." by Marie Stull. Philda Finley read the club collect and Allie Wainscott. read the minutes. The club was entertained by two vocal Solos by Bertie Knight and two vocal Solos by Tracy Crantrell. Then Bertie and Tracy sang a duet, accompanied by Paula Oldroyd. A special book review was given by Mary Robertson on the Life of Ellis R. Shipp. M. D. She was a grand old lady and the first woman doctor in the State of Utah. She came accross the plains when she was five years old with her parents. She went through many hardships. She got her doctor's degree and served the people of Utah until the last few years of her life. Suits Reg.
