DOZEN STAR KIST TUNA CHUNK STYLE ROYAL GELATIN ii CAN 12 4 Bewitch the masquerading ghosts, goblins and witches with Pea-nutty Pea-nutty Candy Apples, popcorn and ginger ale at your Hallowe'en party. Add an eerie jack-o'-lantern which can serve as a popcorn holder and a pixy straw scarecrow to complete the refreshment table. Make the Peanutty Candy Apples early in the day. Press fresh peanut halves into the coated apples while still hot,-if desired. The popular, easy-to-eat party apples will appeal to the ghosts of all ages, because peanut butter is in the candy coating. The peanut butter not only adds good rich flavor but also food nutrients such as protein, thiamin and niacin. Pop the corn or buy it by the bag, box or can. Pour the ginger ale into paper cups and have paper plates for the -corn and apples. Party clean-up time will be nil, and what a thrilling good time it will be for all! Peanutty Candy Apples Yield: 6 to 8 34 cup Peter Pan Smooth 3 cups sugar Peanut Butter 34 cup corn syrup 6 to 8 eating apples 1 cup water Wash apples and insert a wooden skewer into center of each apple. In a saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup and water. Heat, while stirring, until sugar dissolves. Continue cooking to 240F. on a candy thermometer (or when a small amount of the syrup dropped into very cold water forms a soft ball which flattens on removal from water). Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter. Dip each apple into syrup to coat. Stand apples skewer side up on plate to cool. B. 23. Michael cites both Joseph Smith and Brigham Young's use of land use planning. This is correct, except a great significant difference. Joseph and Brigham's excellent ex-cellent plans were accomplished because of their great intelligence in-telligence and Divine inspiration. in-spiration. They did not have to contend with powerful government govern-ment bureaucracies or special interest groups like the powerful tax free Rockerfeller foundations foun-dations pouring money into planning and development to suit their particular interest. It is the dangerous foot in the door policy of these special interest in-terest groups and the Federal Government. Deceptive clauses are written to get the Bill enacted, then they end up with controls they want, by withholding money to the state or local government if they don't fill all the Federal requirements. Federal Government is mentioned about four times in Sec. 5 alone. There is also a clause for the permanent enactment of this bill. This bill is very deceptive, it being like so many other Federal programs. The states originally held in the maximum power as granted under our Divinely inspired constitution. Now the Federal Government, along with many Federal Bureaus dictate to state, county, and city governments to carry out questionable and unwise orders. Occupational Health and Safety Act O.S.H.A. and many environmental protection agency programs are bankrupting and destroying many businesses and free enterprises. en-terprises. Free enterprise and not bureaucracies is what has made this nation the most efficient producer of goods in the world. Are we using the check and balances of our three branches like we should? I say no. It seems to me executive orders are used indiscriminently and even unwise. Most of our citizens don't know that 10 regional branches of government have been enacted by a Presidential Executive order. Utah has had its counties divided into 8 zones by about the same methods. With these practices now going on it probably won't be too long until most of our cities and counties elected officials and probably state legislatures will be replaced by appointed officials, of-ficials, by those who are acquiring dictatorial powers. May our good Lord help us if this practice continues, if we allow appointed men, who are some distance from us and impersonal to our needs, to dictate to us. We can't take our grievances to them. They don't seem to want to listen to us. We could be in serious trouble. It would then be about impossible to remove them from office. There seems too many men in high places in government who want to destroy our constitution and turn this nation into a complete socialist or even communist nation. I would like to encourage any one wanting to know more about this Land Use Bill S.B. 13 to contact me for a copy. Orval L. Harmer STORE HOURS: SPRINGVILLE 8 A.M. TILL 10 P.M.
