REG. 79c i A Makes your day a 2, little lighter, a little softer I n A Wetting Solution 2 fl. oz. $2.00 Value Jar 33 X 4 NOTICE OF INTENTION Springville City Improvement District Number 15 Curb and Gutter, Sidewalk and Street Paving NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the City Council of Springville, Utah, of its intention to create Improvement District Number 15 for the purpose of constructing at certain locations on those streets hereinafter designated sidewalk, curb and .gutter and asphalt paving, and defraying the cost and expenses ex-penses thereof by levying and collecting a special assessment according to frontage on the lots and parcels of land affected and benefited by such improvements. DESCRIPTION OF DISTRICT. Special Improvement District Number 15 shall consist of $even separate areas which are Area 1.. Halls Eastern Hills Subdivision; but not all streets within said subdivision will be affected, and the proposed improvements im-provements will be constructed only on those streets and between bet-ween the points thereon hereinafter designated. Area 2.. All lots fronting on both sides of 100 South Street between 800 East Street and Canyon Avenue. Area 3.. All lots fronting on the west side of 860 East Street between Center Street and 100 South Street. Area 4.. AH lots fronting on the East side of 1050 East Street between Center Street and 50 North Street. Area 5.. All lots fronting on the North side of 400 North Street between Main Street and 400 East Street. Area 6.. All lots fronting on both sides of 300 North Street between 100 West Street and 200 West Street. Area 7.. All lots fronting on the South side of 100 South Street between Main Street and 100 East Street. IMPROVEMENTS PROPOSED. The improvements proposed consist of 4 foot concrete sidewalks; concrete combined curb and gutter (either standard or irrigation type as required); asphalt paving; all necessary culverts, drains, catch basins, boxes and similar appurtenances; and all other things required to complete the whole project in a proper and workmanlike manner in accordance with plans, profiles and specifications on file in the office of the City Engineer. Optional improvements, including by way of example and not in limitation, private driveways, will be installed at the option of the property owner. The estimated total cost of such improvements as determined by the City Engineer is $128,335.00. The estimated cost to the individual abutter for plain 4 foot concrete sidewalk and necessary appurtenances ap-purtenances is $3.75 per front foot, for concrete combined curb and gutter and necessary appurtenances is $3.00 per front foot; and for asphalt paving $0.30 per square foot. The abutters' estimated cost per front foot does not include the cost of optional improvements which will be assessed against the properties benefited in addition to the assessments for sidewalk, curb and gutter and street paving. Springville City will pay the cost of credits given for corner lots, the cost of paving intersections, and the cost of any asphalt paving in excess of the amount to be paid by the individual abutter. LEVY OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENT. To defray the abutters' portion of the cost and expense of such improvements, a special assessment shall be levied upon the lots and parcels of land to be affected or benefited by such improvements, the same to be assessed according to the front footage upon and against all lots and parcels of land affected or benefited by the improvements and abutting on the sides to be improved of the streets above described, for the distances and between the points indicated, and running back from the street line the entire depth of each such lot and parcel of land, with credit for corner lots improved on both sides equal to one half the cost of improvements abutting the shortest side, excluding optional improvements on such side. The special assessment levied to defray the abutters' portion of the cost and expense of such improvements may be paid in 10 equal annual installments with interest at a rate of 8 percent per annum on the unpaid balance; or the whole amount of the assessment may be paid without interest within 15 days after notification by the City Treasurer of the amount due. PROTESTS AND OBJECTIONS. All protests and objections to such improvements or the creation of said special improvement im-provement district must be made in writing by the owner of the property to be assessed, describing or otherwide identifying the property, and must be filed with the City Recorder at the Springville Civic Center, 50 South Main Street, Springville, Utah, on or before September 9, 1974, at 5:00 o'clock p.m. The City Council will meet on September 10, 1974 at 7; 30 o'clock p.m. in the council chambers at the Springville Civic Center, 50 South Main Street, Springville, Utah, in an open and public session to consider such protests as. shall have been filed and hear objections ob-jections relating to the proposed special improvement district from all persons desiring to be heard.
