Bart Duncan is the 13 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Duncan of Springville. Bart enjoys his school work and his work in scouting He is president of his deacon's quorum in the Springville 13th Ward. Bart is also an excellent piano player. He won first place in piano solo in the Junior Music Festival and second place in the Stake Young Artists Festival. Rachel Knight, 13, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jo Knight of Springville represents the eighth grade as Honor Citizen. Miss Knight enjoys school and especially likes her math and science classes. Rachel is a skiier and also plays the piano and the violin. As counselor in her Beehive class she is active in the Springville third ward. The ninth grade is represented by Diane Bjarnson, 14, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Bjarnson of Springville and Jae Baxter, 14, son of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Baxter of Springville. Diane is active in many areas. Her favorite classes are gym and math and she enjoys participating par-ticipating in all sports including skiing, which she is starting this season. Last football season, she cheered the Bona Signs teams to first place, and this winter she is an active member of the Junior High Intramurals Club and ninth grade orchestra. Diane likes to sing, and displays this talent as a member of the Springville-Kolob Stake Youth Chorus. As a member of the Kolob 1st ward she plays piano for the Junior Sunday School. Diane presently serves as Executive Historian for the Junior High Seminary. Short hair is the clue to Jae Baxter's favorite pastime. As a member of the basketball team, Jae continues his participation BYU schedules 10th annual Family Life Meet Students, parents, teachers, and social scientists will talk and listen to each other at the 10th annual Family Life Conference at Brigham Young University Jan. 28. "My Family.. .Count Me In" will be the theme of the conference con-ference which will be held all day beginning with registration at 8:30 a.m. in the Wilkinson Center. v Seeking increased attendance of parents witli their children, the conference will stress family sharing, caring, togetherness, decision making, planning, concern understanding, and communication, according to Clarence Judy, chairman of the planning committee and coordinator coor-dinator of the BYU Family Consultation Center. Sponsoring jrganizations are the Nebo, Alpine, and Provo School Districts; Utah Congress of Parents and Teachers, Region 2; Regional Center for Development of Community Schools, Utah County Family Living Center, Utah County Association of Mental Health, Utah State University Extension Service, and the BYU College of Family Living and the Division of Continuing Education. in sports. Last summer Jae was chosen for the All Star Baseball Team as a pitcher. When he isn't playing ball, Jae plays the piano, collects pennies and baseball cards and serves as vice president of seminary class. v.. i-mtf Troy Brent Reinhold recently celebrated his first birthday. He is the son of Randall and Nanette Watts Reinhold of Layton. Young Troy was one on November 20. . 1 f J - Putting on his best one year old smile is Jason Vincent, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Vincent of Orem. His mother was a former resident.
