Show Page Six The Springville Herald September 6, 1973 rner Tonya Carter, Brent Wayne Taylor Tonya Carter, Brent Taylor to marry in St. George Temple Hie engagement and approaching marriage of Miss Tonya Carter, of Minersville, Beaver County, to Brent Wayne Taylor, of Springville, is announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernst Myers. She is also the daughter of the late Clair Carter, of Minersville. The groom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Taylor, of this city. The bride-to-be is a graduate of the Beaver High School and LDS Seminary. While there she was active as a member of the Pep Gub and chorus. The benedict -elect, is a graduate of the Springville High School and LDS Seminary. He was active in the band. Since his graudation he has attended the Utah Technical College at Provo. The couple will exchange wedding vows in a ceremony to be solemnized Friday, September 7th, in the St. George LDS Temple. A reception in their honor will be hosted by the parents of the bride that evening. Also honoring them, an open house will be hosted by the parents of the groom at the Springville 13 LDS Ward Chapel, on Tuesday, September 28th. Their friends and relatives may call on them that evening between 7:30 and 9:30 p.m. Following their marriage they plan to make their home in Cedar City where the groom is employed. It will be at the Legion Hall, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Highlight of the evening will be presentation of the girls who represented Springville at the Girls State in Logan during the past summer. Each will report on her experiences there. They are LuAnn Bird, Carole Hjorth, Jane Jenkins, and Christy Wilson. Their mothers are invited in-vited to attend as special guests. Elder Blackett left August 23rd for service in the Alaskan-British Alaskan-British Columbia LDS -Mission. He is currently stationed at Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Family members present at the fete enjoyed a delicious dinner after which they visited and reminisced. Boyer recently attended the summer convocation rites at the BYU where they saw their son-in-law, L. Ralph Randall receive his Masters Degree in the field of Secondary Curriculum and Instruction. He is the husband of Ruth Ann B. Randall. Also present at the graduation rites were Mr. and Mrs. Harold W. Randall, of Ogden, parents of Mr. Randall. Mr. Randall is teaching at a junior high school in Ogden.
